    Router upgrade?

Yes, but why not let DHCP do what it’s designed to do and let it manage your IP pool. I can understand a few reservations but they should be the exception.

    Router upgrade?

Genuinely curious. Why so many DHCP reservations?

    AIMesh - and back again

Interesting. I’m just about to do the same thing you did, start using aimesh just because I can. How do you best tell which AP/router your devices are connected to at any given moment? Particularly an Apple device, if you know. Thanks

    mt-daapd -m cpu 100 percent

How many MP3s do you have and how long have you waited?

Connecting to AP with strongest signal - how ?

Do the APs use different SSISs or the same? I use APs all with the same SSID and my devices seem to move to the strongest AP pretty well.

No sir, not using a VPN at this point in time. Thank you both though for your assistance.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

This seemed to work, thank you. This must have been a new requirement after 384.12 or 384.13? Follow up question. By default, when I turned this on, I had the following settings in the custom DNS: I have the Cloudflare DNS servers on the WAN page: Do I need to put those Cloudflare DNS...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Does it have something to do with the “DNS filtering” setting on my LAN ->DNS filter page? I have that set to off.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Been using Diversion for months and lately I've noticed that it doesn't seem to be blocking ads any more. I've updated everything Diversion related, the router firmware, and restarted but still nothing. Was there a change that I missed that my WAN DNS setting are interfering?

    Help with double NAT

I don’t know about the switch or the PS4, but the XBox One will detect the double NAT and bitch about it. That alone will lead folks to try and eliminate the situation.

    Help with double NAT

Just guessing, many consoles don’t get along with double NAT for online gaming.

    Help with double NAT

What about bridging the actiontec, bringing the ASUS router in to the office to provide the LAN connection for your office and to act as the router. Then get a gigabit switch (or wireless AP) and connect that on the other end of your attic Ethernet run?

    Skip 384.13?

I’ve never been in a building in the US that skipped over 13. Perhaps its regional.

Generating self-signed certificate after changing IP address

Not to thread hijack but I’ve done what the OP is asking about but, for the life of me, I can seem to get the cert installed on my computer in such a way that it stops complaining that the cert isn’t trusted.

Wow, this really could not have happened!

If both wired and wireless were dead how did you log in to the router?

Manual, documentation for CLI interface to ASUS routers?

It’s really just Linux so maybe start with tutorials for that.
