Updated to 3.0.0.4.376.3626 & now admin screen is whack?

Agreed, I really love the admin UI. So well done. Little things like icons are great. Same with assigning static IPs right from the network client list. So in the future when they say 'reboot your router' after flashing that just means push the reset button? Or does power cycling accomplish the...

Updated to 3.0.0.4.376.3626 & now admin screen is whack?

Thanks Merlin. Get this. I did a restore, got up and running, screenshotted my setups, and within minutes, the admin UI was borked again. For some reason I decided to try another browser. UI came up perfectly in IE. Confirmed all was set right, forgot about it. Now, the admin UI comes up...

Updated to 3.0.0.4.376.3626 & now admin screen is whack?

Thanks, but, what is the purpose of the backups if you can't use them to restore configurations? Should I 30/30/30 and then enter the settings or 30/30/30, backrev to the prior FW, 30/30/30 again, then redo the settings manually? IOW, should I keep 3626?

How do you decide when to flash...or wait?

I am generally of the belief that you should NOT flash a router with new FW unless there is a problem or the update resolves security or other major issues. I first check boards like this one for mentions of the new FW and problems. Silly me, how did I miss this multi-page monster...

Updated to 3.0.0.4.376.3626 & now admin screen is whack?

Updated yesterday, reset as recommended, reloaded defaults fine, restored .CFG from backup, worked great all day ... still working great connection-wise, but, this is what my admin page looks like now: WTF?

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

First few days with the N7000 (using the stock firmware) and no more dropped connections on any devices as far as I can tell. I didn't benchmark but throughput seems about the same as the Asus, certainly no slower. Streaming video (full-screen Hulu, etc.) on the wife's crusty Vostro laptop was...

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

No wireless printers. I do sometimes use web.airdroid.com to do stuff with my android phone via my wired and wireless PCs. Does that count? -kj-

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

The N7000 is up and running. Initial impressions are very favorable. No dropped connections and no video streaming errors as before. Have not enabled QoS for video yet, either. LAN speeds are comparable. WAN speeds too. More testing ahead...

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

Appreciate the suggestion - just tried it - no joy. Still dropping. I've got a Netgear N7000 Nighthawk inbound for testing.

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

Thanks but that did not help. Changed the setting from 'Maximum Performance' to 'Low Power Saving' and it hung up within 5 minutes. 'NO INTERNET ACCESS.' Appreciate the suggestion though!

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

Well that didn't take long. Both the T420s and Vostro laptops choked. The YouTube stream on the 420s just stopped and Hulu on the Vostro popped up an error message about not being able to play the video. By the time I noticed it, the wifi connections did NOT indicate a connectivity problem...

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

Currently have a 90 minute Discovery Channel documentary streaming via YouTube in HD on my T420s laptop, my Chromebook 550, an iPad 2, and my HTC One; the wife's Vostro laptop is playing an episode of Grey's Anatomy on Hulu, full screen. And I'm downloading the Windows 7 Professional SP1 ISO...

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

I suspect Intel as well but if that is true it was something introduced a couple of ASUS firmwares ago, unit's been rock-solid since purchase until recently...

FWIW my daughter's Macbook Pro has no disconnect issues and as far as I can tell our Android smartphones don't either.

    3.0.0.4.374.42_0 dropping connections, PC only

Hi all, My RT-N66U has been rock solid since I bought it until I recently upgraded the firmware to ASUS' latest. After that, my PCs had problems staying connected wirelessly. No other changes to the PCs or router were made other than the firmware when the problems first appeared. I tried...
