[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

I saw you folks talking about 380.67 and kept hitting the Firmware Version "Check" button and it kept telling me on 380.67_beta4 that "The router's current firmware is the latest version." @RMerlin BUG, I assume: if you select "Get Beta Firmware", it doesn't tell you that there's is a newer...

Q: Proper steps to flash Asuswrt-Merlin on RT-AC5300?

I was picking up something else at the BestBuy warehouse in Mississauga when I saw 2 AC5300's demo/open box there and grabbed one. It has the /CA in the name, so it should be the Canadian version. My first set of test was on Fri night when I came home, then I had it unplugged for a day when I...

Q: Proper steps to flash Asuswrt-Merlin on RT-AC5300?

Not sure what they have in Toronto but all I did in terms of setup after erasing the NVRAM was to go over the Wizard and enter a password for the 3 default SSIDs, then I let it sit overnight. All I was seeing next morning were the 24 and 5-1 channels; the 5-2 wasn't broadcasting, not seen via...

Q: Proper steps to flash Asuswrt-Merlin on RT-AC5300?

@RMerlin thank you! Upon flashing one of your builds and erasing nvram, how long does it take after boot (and going through the setup wizard) before you see all 3 SSIDs? Specifically 5-2? I saw a few posts from people in UK saying they had to wait 10, even 20 minutes due to DFS. I thought I was...

Q: Proper steps to flash Asuswrt-Merlin on RT-AC5300?

Quite a few people took a look but no replies. Let me provide an update after another few attempts to see that would help you help me. I've downloaded several original firmware versions from Asus, both standard 3.0.0.4.380.838.???? and the Beta Version 9.0.0.4.380.2697. Every firmware flash...

Q: Proper steps to flash Asuswrt-Merlin on RT-AC5300?

I'm not sold on upgrading from my current RT-AC68U to the RT-AC5300 but got an open box one for "cheaper" and thought I'd give it a try. And I did staring at 1am last night, so probably my failure is due to lack of sleep and not finding the right entry in this forum. Here's what I did: 1) ran...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

Posted this https://www.snbforums.com/threads/release-asuswrt-merlin-380-65-is-now-available.37295/page-38#post-321643 under the previous version, sorry. Yes, I have rebooted. Also, I don't know how to reproduce it. Some times I'd expand the QoS on one device, it'll look fine, try another device...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Opps, sorry. I was in the 380.66 thread, searched for QoS and somehow ended up here. I was on .65 and skipped the first 2 betas of .66.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Just got around to install 380.66_beta3 on RT-AC68U. The first thing that puzzled me (not sure if it's new bug) is that the QoS Bandwidth shows a lot of negative values. It's setup as Adaptive QoS, Automatic.

    Review NVRAM-intensive settings - how-to?

After unset and commit, I see lots of devices under DHCP Server/MAC address column as "New device" and their MAC on the second line. Name is still retained under the Hostname column. Similarly, on the Adaptive QoS tab I see several "Chromecast" listed (they all had names before) or "Google...

    Review NVRAM-intensive settings - how-to?

    Thanks a lot @john9527 Here's what I got with the top 5: size: 63990 bytes (1546 left) 3086 dhcp_staticlist 2161 qos_rulelist 2148 custom_clientlist 1918 client_info_tmp 1418 MULTIFILTER_MACFILTER_DAYTIME Top 5 hitters aren't that heavy. Most likely it's the sheer volume of variables as even...

    Review NVRAM-intensive settings - how-to?

As soon as I upgraded to 380.64 the yellow bang started flashing saying I'm low on NVRAM and should "review nvram-intensive settings..." I've got only one OpenVPN server setup and a bunch of static MAC bindings for the gear I want to stick to the same IP. Before hitting the...

VoIP or Jabber with OBi202 kill all other connections on my RT-AC68U

I've made quite a few changes to my home setup last weekend and I'm not sure where to start debugging the issue in the title, so hope someone can point me in the right direction. Setup/changes: * Switched to cable on the Rogers 250/20M plan and with that said goodbye not only to Bell's ADSL but...

380.57 - IPTraffic kills 2.4GHz clients (RMerlin confirmed it's broken, search for NAT acceleration)

Thank you @RMerlin , short sweet and to the point. I'll continue to stay on 378.56_2. Hope you get better soon! @L&LD - I wouldn't jump deep into what's good for your family or anyone else's family and start recommending what people should do. I should probably listen to my wife and get an...

380.57 - IPTraffic kills 2.4GHz clients (RMerlin confirmed it's broken, search for NAT acceleration)

I've trusted @RMerlin a lot over the years and almost never had to do that. On my last attempt to stay on 380.57, I did start clean and then restored my old settings via the backup scripts provided by @john9527 (thanks!, I'm from the vi/emacs days and love those). Even did it twice as I didn't...

380.57 - IPTraffic kills 2.4GHz clients (RMerlin confirmed it's broken, search for NAT acceleration)

Christmas started with flashing 380.57 on my RT-AC68U and that killed all of my 2.4 clients. I reverted back to 378.56_2 and didn't have time to touch it until after the new year. Flashed again to 380.57 a couple of weeks ago and saw others also having issues on the 2.4 channel when IPTraffic...
