    Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Smart Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

I am still running perfectly with the EA8500, I still can not find or see any glitch at all. My connection from my ISP is the best I had with any router to date All that bloat asus puts on theirs causes issues for sure, besides build issues, no more asus for me or recommended by me anymore. I...

    Asus RT-AC87U max tx power

Hi, Yes my wifi printer problem with the EA8500 was the printer not the router at all, the printer must have saved something in the network settings from the Asus router, as soon as I reset the network on the printer, then set the printer wifi back up, I no longer have any problems. I am...

    Asus RT-AC87U max tx power

Linksys ac2600 (EA8500) I am 2 1/2 days in to this Linksys and I had one problem that turned out to be just resetting network settings in the printer, nothing to do with the router. See my review here...

    Asus RT-AC87U max tx power

It is 316mw from what I have been told, i had mine at 300mw and that seems to be right where asus puts theirs at. Someone said we could go to 700mw with a laptop cooler under it, I have now moved on to a different brand that is so far very stable for me.

DDWRT for RT-AC87 - You should seriously consider it

hey cc666, I am now on tx power on both bands to 300mv. All seems still normal for temps. I was told Asus uses 316mv, as my tests finds it may be the case, at 300mv it seems coverage is just as good as Asus firmware. I had some hiccups, so I cleared nvram, and flashed with reset again. I...

DDWRT for RT-AC87 - You should seriously consider it

It makes wifi stable for me in weaker areas, try without then try it with, Long is for older wifi devices Short is for newer wifi devices from what I have read, I only have a 2nd gen iTouch (for old devices) and that still works, but wifi is more stable for me on both bands when set to short (no...

DDWRT for RT-AC87 - You should seriously consider it

DDWRT for RT-AC87 - You should seriously consider it

There is a setting for it in the GUI on DD-wrt, under "administration" "Management" for overclocking, any reason why you are not using that easy method? Also What benefit is it giving you? Also I had those settings, BUT I re-flahed my router, and also set the Preamble to short on the 5GHz, (I...
