    I don't think its a reboot issue, uptime shows over 7 days and the problem has occur in that time.

    I am explicity setting the SSID in /etc/network/interfaces plus there are no other network in the area, I live out in the woods :-) I will give this a try This is how I currently it setup

    I just got the AC68U and its running firmware version 3.0.0.4.374_4561. I would like to install Asuswrt-Merlin so I can install some startup scripts. Can I just install the latest Asuswrt-Merlin firmware (RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_374.39_0) even through its slightly behind there version I have? Thanks

    Thanks for the reply, your changed didn't help, but its definitely neater. Its looks like the problem was that the DNS servers assigned when the VPN is connect can't be used unless the connection comes through the VPN. So I think the solution is either add route for the DNS server to route...
