Steam games stream well over PPTP but not OPENVPN.

I'm interested if anyone has a working PPTP or OpenVPN Merlin setup for streaming Steam games with a Mac client. I've been trying a few things and I can't seem to get to work. I tried using PrimoVPN client for the PPTP config and it connects fine and I can ping, connect to whatever on my home...

    Slow Routers in AP mode

I did actually mean 9.5Mbps or just north of 1MBps. If I were getting 9.5MBps I might not be upset by that. I just tried moving the cable to one of the ports on the RT-N66U and the result is the same. I don't really have a way to check the negotiated speed from the switch, and I don't see how...

    Slow Routers in AP mode

So I made a thread about this in the Asus AC forum but I've tried this whole setup with a Netgear R7000 and I'm having the same issue so I'm making a new thread here. I'm just looking for ideas to try at this point. I've had my basement "office" network for a few years, unchanged, with an Asus...

Slow Wireless Performance RT-AC68P in AP mode

I sent in a ticket to Asus support to ask them if they had any ideas since I didn't get any response here. I'll follow-up with their suggestions. If I can't get this working in a couple of days I'll return it and grab the Nighthawk since that's rated higher.

Slow Wireless Performance RT-AC68P in AP mode

Hello, My main router at the moment is a RT-N66U but being located in my basement it has never given me good reception on the main floor of my house. I finally got around to running a CAT5 cable upstairs and added a RT-AC68P in access point mode. Unfortunately I can only get about 9.5Mbps on...

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

Thanks for the suggestion but this doesn't work either. I can't apply any change to the dhcp page at all. Even when I click on the "LAN" menu on the left navigation pane I start getting javascript errors: Then when I click on the DHCP tab I get more errors: I think there is...

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

Yeah I tried that but when I click the pull down it's empty. Thanks anyway.

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

Tried Firefox from a different computer, same errors.

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

Nope. Also the + doesn't not do anything. Opening the Java console shows that pressing the + button gives the same error as the "Apply" button. Do you think it's worth trying to re-flash the image or should I downgrade then upgrade? Or should I just try something 3rd party?

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

When I said reload I meant reboot. I did reconfigure everything from scratch. I've done all of those troubleshooting steps except the ones relating to WiFi as I'm not having an issue with that. Edit: Merlins guide has to do with troubleshooting Wifi issues. As I've stated I'm not having...

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

I have not yet tired that as on the previous firmware I had real trouble with the 5GHz network. I'm only messing around with the DHCP stuff because I want to stand up a FreeNAS server and make sure it always has the same IP. I can change the "enable manual assignment" from no to yes but the...

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

I tried what you described and still nothing. Here is the error from the console. Thank you for your help.

    RT-N66U Cannot alter DHCP Range

Hello, I do not seem to be able to change anything on my DHCP page after upgrading to 3.0.0.4.374_720. I made sure to reset settings and reload after the upgrade. The problem appears to be that pressing the "Apply" button at the bottom of the page doesn't do anything. I've tried changing...
