    ASUS RT-AC88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.3941

That was just odd at least now I know to look and see if the radios are on next time. The other odd thing was my 66u repeater would accept connections with the 88u missing so it was delving out ip's. usually when the main is down the repeater wont allow you to connect. I think there was a...

    ASUS RT-AC88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.3941

That would seem the most logical possibility except it wasn't touched and I was only person in the room. I rebooted the router after I discovered the wireless wasnt working and only touched the back end of the router to hit the power switch when I did. Is that wifi switch a momentary or a...

    ASUS RT-AC88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.3941

Had an odd problem with this FW yesterday. Its Microsoft patch Tuesday went home and patched my desktop. The desktop couldn't see the router hard wired after it rebooted. I go to use wireless on my phone to reset the router and wireless is dead as well. I reboot the router and my desktop...

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

I spoke too soon on the reboot but with a 66u in Wireless Router mode I updated the second 66u and had the reboot pop up like every 30 seconds or so it would reboot. When I firmware update these routers I do it as such. Update fw reboot then hit the reset button for 10 seconds. I then go in...

    ASUS RT-AC66U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3831

    - Modified failback behavior when only turn on dual wan failover. The USB Aircard issue that has left me on 378.9459 since December seems to be fixed in 380.3831. I have 2-66u routers I use in what I call Hillbilly Internet (15 years ago I use to have to use a laptop and a router to do this it...

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

I never saw the reboot loop although this fw does mention fixing it. I'm getting that jammer like situation with my 68 and that lock out problem if I use manual settings on initial setup (after factory reset) of both 66u and 68u in repeater mode. Prior to the past several fw's they worked...

    RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.3831

One thing I am waiting for them to fix is if I restart my 87u which feeds 2-66us and 1- 68u. The 68u upsets things until I manually power cycle it. It almost acts like a jammer where I can only access the repeater i'm attached to but once I cycle I can instantly see all my other repeaters...

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

No problem there are no guarantees in life. I can only pass on the strange things I needed to do to make it work and hopefully it helps you. Its a bug and not too many are running them as repeaters. Seeming's Merlins is built off of the Asus code there is a good possibility of the same bug...

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

That worked with my 87u and 66u (have 2-66u and 1-68u) the same way as you where I could change the ssid no issue. My 88u and 66u had issue with manually changing the ssid. It use to work flawless imputing the correct settings as I went. Now i have to change it all at the end . Once I did...

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

QUOTE="vaszago, post: 267987, member: 25506"]On original FW or on Merlin. I have also made automatic setup and then change to on a staic IP. Original fw not merlin but problem could be source code. The problem is when i give the Repeater a static ip. That my Clients get no ip from the...

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

All are on the latest fw available. I have never had an issue with the repeaters except for the past few fw releases. I have my repeaters all with static set IP's. What I did find after updating my 66's and 68 is that if I did a manual configuration I would lose connectivity to my repeater...

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

Ok just upgraded my 87u from 380.2695 to 380.3459. I have 3 repeaters on this two 66u's and one 68u. The link rates on one 66u are at a higher link rate than the previous fw which was all over the place. Its now from 135 to 162 link rate. The 68u shows the same link rate as the first 66u...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264

Just did router number 2 find that if I set the lan ip manually exactly the way it should be set I get the I cant connect to the router even hardwired. it saves it and reboots but wont let you connect. You have to factory reset and setup again with dynamic. If I allow it to connect with a...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264

I just upgraded one of my repeaters with the latest. Worked as repeater after initial upgrade. Did a factory reset and only way in was to type in browser router.asus.com was directly connected. ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264

Can someone check and see if the Firmware Restoration (restore.exe) will still allow you to downgrade the router if needed? There was another way to do it as well I think Vant may have used that to restore back.

ASUS firmware will change the verification method

Ahhh I use to check there but it was a pain since I had to scroll down so I would grab the first os. They have to move the other os up in the list. People are going to be confused.
