RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

No luck.. I tried Enbaling WPS and Power cycled both Router & Nodes.. still seeing the same behaviour. Falls back to 80Mhz when NO 160Mhz client is connected to Main router.

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

I have WPS disabled and Ethernet cable is plugged into WAN Port of the AX58U (Node).

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

YES, I did the AiMesh System Reboot as well as completely "Power Down" both Router & Nodes by removing the power adapters. Since the 160MHz functionality is working fine when client is connected to Router, I am not sure, if I can raise this issue to Asus for RMA.

Wired backhaul AX AiMesh nodes, how to configure for 160Mhz/DFS when AX Router is also set for 160Mhz/DFS

I have posted the same issue on 2 different posts: Asus Merlin: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-3004-388-4-is-now-available.86428/page-23#post-863312 Asus Stock FW...

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

Thanks for your suggestion. And I tried your suggestion by forcing the Main Router to 160MHz Channel Bandwidth. But the Router behaves the same way as I described. ONLY when a 160MHz capable client is connected to Main Router it stays in 160MHz, otherwise it falls back to 80MHz.

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

I don't want to fix my AiMesh network to 160MHz as I feel it will not be a stable/reliable connection. I like to see if we can get 160MHz in Active state, even when these clients are connected to Mesh nodes. I agree that Node just mirror the settings from Main router. If this is the case, when...

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

Hi, I know that the "Wireless Log" page only shows the clients connected to the Main Router. Let me make the "issue" short and clear. 160MHz Channel Bandwidth capability works ONLY when any Client (with 160MHz ability) is connected to the Main Router. If all the Clients with 160MHz ability is...

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

Sorry for the confusion with my signature. I was using Merlin Firmware and once I found this issue and as per the suggestion from the Merlin community, I reflashed the Stock Asus Firmware + Factory reset using both WPS & WebUI settings. So the above scenarios are verified using the Stock Asus...

RT-AX88U(Router) + RT-AX58U(Node): DFS State "NOT Active" when 160Mhz clients are connected ONLY to AiMesh Node

I have AiMesh configuration with AX88U (Main Router) -> AX58U (Node - Connected via Ethernet Backhaul). Both Router/Node is updated to latest Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_23748 and all "Settings" are default to Factory recomended. Only, when 160Mhz client is connected to AX88U(Main), I am...

YES, I confirm that both the AX88U(Master) & AX58U(Node) are hard reset using (WPS + WebUI) and with default configurations when I verified this behaviour for 160Mhz.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

In my scenario, the AiMesh Node (AX58U) is connected with two 160Mhz capable client (Windows 11). But both these clients are still operating in 80Mhz. I am expecting these clients connected to AiMesh node should operate in 160Mhz. Is my expectation is wrong? IF I force these clients to bind to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Hello Everyone, I have AiMesh configuration with AX88U (Main Router) -> AX58U (Node - Connected via Ethernet Backhaul). Only, when 160Mhz client is connected to AX88U(Main), I am seeing the DFS State become active in the "System Log" -> "Wireless Log" page. If the 160Mhz client is connected to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Just did a quick search in Google. Looks like ZenWiFi AX Mini model doesn't support DFS channel (Refer to the screenshot below) and that is why you are not seeing the DFS channel in your main router. Please confirm by removing this node from your Mesh network and see if that resolve your issue.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Thank you so much for sharing the screenshot. @RMerlin & other Technical members, can you please advise, why I cannot see all the available channels in RT-AX88U WebUI? As I confirm in my previous post all the channels are showing in nvram details.
