[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

Can you verify that Let's Encrypt status is authorizing for your DDNS? Feel free to start a conversation with me to avoid bloating the thread more. :D

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

I just gave that a try, and same problem. Neither cert.pem or chain.pem were automatically created from the fullchain.pem. Which acme.sh command should I append --debug to?

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

We have to split the fullchain.pem into cert.pem and chain.pem. See my post on pg. 27.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

I want to log my temporary solution for Let's Encrypt in my case. It could also be from my own ignorance. Maybe ACMEv2 operates differently? After deleting my domain sub directory in /jffs/.le, and rebooting, Let's Encrypt was creating a new domain directory which contained a fullchain.pem, but...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 Beta is now available

Regarding Let's Encrypt: Dirty upgrade to 384.14 Beta 2 for AX88U to test if LE cert renewal would work. So far it doesn't. (I did not do a complete wipe yet, so this does not deserve Eric's attention.) After update, moved current LE domain directory "/jffs/.le/my.domain" to backup at...

RT-AX88U chipset is WiFi 6 Certified

All I want to know, if it does get certified is ASUS going to send me my sticker? Not serious.

RT-AX88U chipset is WiFi 6 Certified

I guess your name is fitting then. :( Maybe the thread should be retitled something like AX88U chipset is certified.

RT-AX88U chipset is WiFi 6 Certified

By the looks of it, the BCM43684 is WiFi 6 Certified! https://www.anandtech.com/show/14875/wifi-6-is-officially-here-certification-program-begins

    any plan to update ip(6)tables

I was reading up a little bit about why DDNS services (specifically inadyn and Google Domains) doesn't support updating ipv6 AAAA records, and the consensus was that ipv6 wouldn't be truly dynamic. If its intended to be more of a static address (based on the ISP of course), then you would think...

    any plan to update ip(6)tables

Just fishing for a little information. I'm guessing ip6tables is part of the ASUS blob? I'm wondering if there is any likely hood they would update at any point in the future? Right now ip6tables version is 1.4.15 and I would need 1.4.18+ to mirror ipv4 port forwarding and routing. I'm only...

    RT-AX88U Lid Removal

Took the lid off my AX88U and it was pretty easy. Thank you ASUS! I have concerns about the durability of the WAN port being too loosely soldered to the motherboard. I think in the end my concern is justified. It looks like they didn't fill the PCB through holes with solder, like they typically...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 is available

Thanks for popping in. I don't want to derail the thread, but the SanDisk Ultra Fit are notorious for being super hot in USB 3. USB 2 is cool as a cucumber.

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 is available

FYI, I set my USB mode back to 2.0 recently since the SanDisk thumb drive I use gets REALLY hot in 3.0 mode, even when idle. I would like both the drive and the router components to last as long as possible. I only use it for Entware, but I benchmarked read speeds before and after. USB 3.0 is...

    IPv6 with Prefix Delegation

Hey @IsaacFL , I was able to get this working with some slight modifications. I'm no expert, maybe of trial and error. I'm on Spectrum (legacy TWC). Before modifying anything, I ran the command "ps www|grep odhcp6c" to see what options the built in odhcp6c command runs at startup. It was a...

    Killer AX1650

Oh jeeze, I won't be buying 4 cards! I think I'll stick with AC for now! I'm not even using 160mhz bandwidth! I have it set to 40mhz currently. Once I see how stable my AC7260 is with 40, I'll set it to auto/160mhz. This card has always been a pain, but it is a work provided laptop. I'd be...

    Killer AX1650

I'm thinking about getting a Killer AX1650 to tinker with and do a little benchmarking: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q4YYQC2/?tag=snbforums-20 Considering Killer's AC1550 card is still $30, it doesn't seem like AX has much of a new adopter fee. I just wanted to check if anyone is aware of...

    [Merlin] Dual DDNS possible?

Thanks for the share! This would help me jump over the inadyn IPv6 hurdle! If I used your script, I'd be pushing the IPv6 address to a different domain name though (mysite).dynv6.net. For my case, I want to update the same hostname with an A and AAAA record from my dual stack config. I'm still...

    [Merlin] Dual DDNS possible?

@JDB , can you share your script? So far it looks like there are two limitations for my dual stack ipv4/ipv6 DNS record renewal: 1. inadyn doesn't support ipv6 yet: https://github.com/troglobit/inadyn/issues/52 2. Google Domains doesn't allow two dynamic DNS records (A and AAAA) for the same...

    OpenVPN performance of the RT-AC86U

I'm interested to see if anyone can run a benchmark between LZ4 and LZ4v2 compression for science! I'm limited by bandwidth with 100mbps down and 10 up. (I'm interested for future use.) Eric said the bottleneck isn't in the cipher regarding AES-128-GCM vs AES-256-GCM. I'm wondering how much the...
