    Well after a few hours the it stopped working. AppleTV no longer sees iTunes across the network. Looks like my fix didn't actually fix it. This is really frustrating.

    Yes that was one site i found but it didn't go into details about what you need to do to get avahi to actually run and stay running. it requires changes to the group files which need to be added to the group.add file in /jffs/configs. It also requires some fixes to get dbus working.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 is out

    Multicast does not work when N66U is in Media Bridge mode. Seems to be a common problem with Asus firmware when in media bridge or repeater mode. I found a few threads that say multicast works when using WDS, but i'm not going to leave the AP open or use WEP. Any chance Merlin can fix this issue...

    I filed a support request with ASUS but I'm pretty sure that will go nowhere. It's a shame. Using the N66W in media bridge mode is the only way i can stream HD content to the AppleTV in the back of the house.
