    Once a couple of years ago I bricked a router from linksys using dd-wrt, promised never more touch in this fw's!!!! I love your fw's will try the new GT with Asus stock ones if I miss your fw a lot I'll sell it and keep with the Rt one

    Guys I have the Rt-Ac5300 and will receive the new GT one in 2 weeks About the FW, should i use the asus website ones or there is some place that i can get beta ones and/or better fw`s for this one? Anyone that used RT-AC5300 and now is using the GT, how big was the change? Tks

    Thanks Merlin, as i live in Brazil i don`t have acess to Asus routers, a friend of mine will bring a GT-AC5300 for me from USA, he will arrive here in 2 weeks, the smart connect is the same as at the RT-AC5300? And will i see a huge gain from my actual RT-AC5300 to the new GT one?

    Voxel thanks so much for helping I have only one more question Testing the Rt-ac5300 and the R8500 the 5Ghz range was very low, they had the same range I can say, is there any way at the configuration that can make my 5ghz range goes better or if I already tried with 2 routers and the results...

    Guys how are you? I bought the R8500, when I finish configuring it or even when I'm making changes and the router reboots the wan light becomes just red and I can't do nothing..... The only way to the router come back to life is a hard reset, and it happens again and again I'm with the latest...

    @RMerlin I was using the Asus Beta Aimesh fw for the 5300 one and my wired connection became a mess, even after a hard reset, came back to your FW and everything is working like a charm again Just for curiosty, a beta and no stable fw can medd so much with a wired connection?
