    RT-AC87R Airplay Issues

I finally fixed it! I've tested this with every setting and every way I could possibly think of, especially with all of your suggestions. I disabled IPv6 and was disappointed that it didn't fix my AirPlay issues. The. I stumbled upon a thread about Marantz receivers. For some reason, Marantz...

    RT-AC87R Airplay Issues

I've now done everything you've all suggested. Thank you for all your help. I'm really at a loss here. I had a day off and nobody else was home so I was able to completely control the network. Even with the ONLY 2 things being plugged into the router being my laptop and the Marantz receiver, it...

    RT-AC87R Airplay Issues

Merlin, I went to ASUS's website and the latest firmware was 376_2678. Interestingly enough, when I tried to use the firmware to check for updates, it returned that there were no updates, even though there clearly was one. After updating the firmware, the skipping still persists. All...

    RT-AC87R Airplay Issues

I have an RT-AC87R with the stock firmware 3.0.0.4.376_2061. Hooked up to the router is 2 16-port unmanaged switches that feed ethernet to the whole house, plus 2 Unifi AP-Pro access points. I have the 2.4ghz radio on the RT-AC87R turned off, and the 5ghz is only for AC devices. I have a litany...

    Advice for Network at House

I forgot, as far as bandwidth goes, we have 100mbps down and 5 mbps up cable through Charter. I wish I could have something better, but I don't want to pay for any business class stuff, and the only other internet is DSL at 10mbps down and 2mbps up.

    Advice for Network at House

Thanks for the latest replies! I have been out of town and haven't been able to check the forum. The other day I decided to see how my router performed via ethernet while everything else was hooked up via wireless. Even with everything going on (except maybe one of my roommates watching...

    Advice for Network at House

So I should save myself $200, use my RT-N66U as the router and throw an extra AP on there instead?

    Advice for Network at House

I should be fine with command line as I've worked with Cisco routers before. I've seen some pre-configured config files floating around for Unibiqi routers so I'm pretty confident I'll be able to make it work. As far as my current router goes, it's not about features but more about its...

    Advice for Network at House

Thank you all for your replies! Its given me a lot to think about. Clearly I have way too many things on the current wifi, and I'm thinking that my router is starting to strain under the load with so many devices on there. I was thinking about adding another AP, but the gamers in the house...

    Advice for Network at House

Hello all, I'm looking for some advice for my network setup at a large house with lots of devices. First, here is what is connected to the network: 10 DirecTV receivers, including 2 DVRs and 1 Genie 6 Xbox 360s (most plan to upgrade) 3 Playstation 3s (only one plans to upgrade) 4 smart...

    RT-N66R Radio Dying?

I have the 2.4ghz radio set to N only so I should be able to get plenty of speed on that network. I even disconnected all other devices and had only my laptop connected to it and still received the same results. My laptop is dual-band N but only capable of 300mbps on 5ghz and apparently 144mbps...

    RT-N66R Radio Dying?

I have an RT-N66R that is a little over a year old and have been experiencing some issues with the 2.4ghz radio. My 5ghz band seems to be working mostly fine as I get about 70mbps download on that band (I have 100mbps connection). However on my 2.4ghz band I'm seeing anywhere between 2-30mbps...
