ASUS firmware DHCP "Continuous Mode" potential fix for "ISP's DHCP did not function properly"

That would make sense. I'm going to leave it as it is, if I get the error again I'll re-run the initial commands & see if that fixes it again.

ASUS firmware DHCP "Continuous Mode" potential fix for "ISP's DHCP did not function properly"

    Yes, mine has also changed: /sbin/udhcpc -i eth0 -p /var/run/udhcpc0.pid -s /tmp/udhcpc -t2 -T5 -A160 -O33 -O249 as opposed to the original: /sbin/udhcpc -i eth0 -p /var/run/udhcpc0.pid -s /tmp/udhcpc -t1 -T5 -A0 -O33 -O249 I've no idea what these changes mean or if the fix is still working...

Tired of this issue now. @RMerlin : Have you had any comms with Asus/Jack regarding this problem? Any chance of it being pushed to the next Merlin release please?

ASUS firmware DHCP "Continuous Mode" potential fix for "ISP's DHCP did not function properly"

So you're cloning the MAC of your Vigor modem to your Asus AX? Is it easy enough to undo?

ASUS firmware DHCP "Continuous Mode" potential fix for "ISP's DHCP did not function properly"

I'm wondering, has anyone tried using the MAC clone feature on the Asus router in an attempt to fix this? I mean, maybe cloning the MAC address of my LTE router (bridge) onto my Asus router would help? I'm just guessing, but would like to know if anyone's tried it yet, as I don't want to do it...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - Automated speedtests with graphs

Sometimes, but I disabled it while troubleshooting. Sorry for the late reply, had to get my life back a bit. I've uninstalled it for good now, maybe I'll try again after the next firmware update, I just don't have the time to keep messing with it at the moment - thanks for trying to help anyway...

Yes, I can scroll up - but there are no installation logs/reports, they disappear - only the chosen options by the user remain.

OK, reinstalled & updated but couldn't capture the error I'm afraid. Speed test now fails completely again: ....sigh.

I'm unable to scroll back to see the error because the screen changes immediately back to the amtm menu after installation has finished - are there any installation logs kept anywhere that I can access? I noticed also that when uninstalling there are errors which look similar to the errors when...

Hi Jack, thanks for bearing with me on this. OK, we're almost there - the usual errors I reported earlier regarding installation have now gone, but there was one error that flashed up before the screen switched back to the menu after installation, so I was unable to capture it I'm afraid. After...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - Automated speedtests with graphs

I feel your pain - I've tried doing the same, spent hour upon hour trying to eliminate the problem, resets, firmware flashing, formatting, different USB's, updating, force updating - I've tried the lot. Knowing that it's not just me has helped ease the pain a little though, thanks.

Hi LimJK, I do accept it, I posted the install error screen shot for JackYaz in the hope it will help him find the cause of the failure. I've also tried what you said - see post #565 above. Thanks for confirming that you also get the error though, at least I know it's not just me having the...

How did you get it installed on your AX? It won't install on mine at all.
