    Does the AC3200 even support AiMesh? IIRC, it doesn't. It is also no longer supported in new Merlin firmware. So I'd return it ASAP.

    Seems that posting the firmware version would be helpful. I see the pic in your link says 386.9794. Was that just an example? BTW, I see the pic is configured for Smart Connect, so there's only one tab for all wifi. Also, I think you have to click the field to show the key in plain text.

    For some reason, I don't see all the clients in the router's client list. So I'm not sure if you can rely on it. More importantly, I don't think you've actually blocked that rouge extender.     Asus RT-AX58U Forced Login Screen With Second Router Attached

    Disconnect the Vodafone cable to the ASUS. Then login from your PC which is wired to the Vodafone. You then can change its's IP and set it up as an AP. Then reconnect it to the ASUS. I suggest using the WAN port. If your PC also has wifi, disable that while doing the above change.

    I wonder if the disruption is caused when your WAN IP lease expires and renews. Some ISPs have a short (15 or 30 minute) expiration. You could check by going into the gui and clicking the globe icon (WAN connection status).

    Yes, but SSID will change to ASUS (and ASUS_5G IIRC). Plus it's unprotected until you get it configured (no password), so don't procrastinate in finalizing the config.
