Missing keys and certificates in openvpn after update to 380.57

Latest before that. So I understand losing jffs content. But: 1 - jffs is now empty and read only, no matter how many times i format or reboot. From tools I see it unmounted. Shouldn't it mount automatically? 2 - if and when I solve the jffs issue, are default certs for openvpn created there?

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

i'll give it a bit more time, in case somebody comes with some more things to try before resetting :)

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

done already, if logging in and rebooting from the webui means not touching anything. otherwise i have to go straight to power button

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

Thanks, but I don't think this is all of it for me. I updated to last FW from second last (378.56_2 -> 380.57). That might have erased my jffs content, but still doesn't explain why after several reboots, jffs format, and reboots again, jffs is permanently read only and empty, without scripts...

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

After update to 380.57 my jffs is read only (and empty btw). I rebooted several times and formatted again. Is it a bug or I forgot something obvious?

Missing keys and certificates in openvpn after update to 380.57

actually, I noticed that jffs is empty and apparently read only. is it supposed to happen? what is the procedure when I flash a new FW? backup jffs and restore it afterwards?

Missing keys and certificates in openvpn after update to 380.57

I have a RT-N66U and after update in openvpn settings and .ovpn all certs and keys are empty. Is there a way to have them filled by default as before? If not, could you point me to some simple howto?

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

I feel stupid. wiping all client1.ovpn everywhere, changing a openvpn server setting, restarting, importing again in the new phone, it worked :)

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

That was the first thing I checked. I'll search again the file by name in each device and delete it before exporting again. No room for mistake. So I understand that it should still work out of the box after the jffs format. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

That would be my very last weapon, I would regenerate certificates myself somehow (I'd have to figure the appropriate way). However, I hope merlin has a simpler advice.

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

I changed subnet, so everything should be generated anew. Then I restarted the server (you never know), exported the client1.ovpn and sent to an old working client and a brand new phone. Both have same cert issue. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

So I remembered correctly. But now, how do I make the openvpn server use the new ones and the client configuration match them as well? Before it was all out of the box. Thanks

[Solved] Certificate error in Openvpn (was previously working)

Hi, I recently formatted jffs and enabled scripts, and since then my previously working openvpn connection now fails to connect with the following: VERIFY ERROR: depth=1, error=self signed certificate in certificate chain: C=TW, ST=TW, L=Taipei, O=ASUS, CN=RT-N66U...

    [Solved] Setting Masquerade from webui

I take it as a "no, there is no room in UI for such command" :p I dared asking because it sounded similar to the custom commands in openvpn server :)

    [Solved] Setting Masquerade from webui

Hi, is it possible to set something like "iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s "10.8.0.0/24" -j MASQUERADE" from the webui or I have to write some jffs script? In the latter I suppose it would go in nat-start, right?

[Solved] Cannot see my LAN with openvpn

Additional question. I think the issue I had might have been solved with MASQUERADE. If the router instead of showing the request source as 10.8.0.2 would have replaced it with 192.168.2.1 the traffic would have gone back properly. So the question: is there a way from the web interface to set...

[Solved] Cannot see my LAN with openvpn

VICTORY AT LAST! First of all thanks to everybody who tried to help. Now to the ending titles... I saw the traffic arriving on eth0 in the satellite receiver and nothing else, so I checked the routes and I noticed something unexpected. The receiver is a client in another vpn, which, according...

[Solved] Cannot see my LAN with openvpn

Ok, from the office, I put Wireshark listening on tun0 and I called 192.168.2.1 (internal router ip) from 10.8.0.2: it responded and opened the web interface as before. Then I called 192.168.2.80 (satellite receiver), and I saw the TCP packets through tun0 to the destination but no ACK ever...

[Solved] Cannot see my LAN with openvpn

Of course, that's what I implied with frustrating :) Turn off wifi, connect vpn, check it fail again and again on the small device, and back :)

[Solved] Cannot see my LAN with openvpn

i played around with options and currently i have a config almost exactly like yours. i think the issue is not in openvpn, but rather firewall. did you set anything special on firewall, wan, or anywhere? tomorrow first thing i want to try to figure (traceroute or wireshark) from the office where...
