    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Ok, I will confirm later but I am pretty sure jffs is the issue. Then this is a regression, because it happened 2 releases ago and restarted working on. 58. Now the question is whether that is in asus or merlin code :)

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

I can check tonight if jffs has the same problem it had in version pre .58. The symptoms are the same: no vpn. I don't know if jffs is supposed to affect somehow the dhcp page.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Oh, JFFS issues again, didn't expect that. I already had it specifically with version before .58, and most likely it is happening again because I cannot VPN to home with .59, but I can if I revert to .58 :) I tried enabling http on 8080, same issue. BTW: I didn't know I could change icons...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Just one last piece of info, in case it helps you deciding in favor or against your current gut feeling about the culprit :) I checked with dev tools what happens with the page code itself when it crashes, and I noticed that it all starts with a few icons trying to load: jquery.js:5 GET...

    Development musings

If it helps, a few posts back I could reproduce the httpd restart consistently in the dhcp page across different browsers. If that's not in the secret Asus code, it seems like a good place to start debugging in a controlled environment. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

    Development musings

Didn't Asus acknowledge your work if I remember correctly? If for a while they would shift their efforts to port your code into theirs (it would be an admirable humble move), both you and them would probably take advantage of each other in the long run. If they could even open their code...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

more info on this before clean flash. The App dropdown doesn't work on latest Firefox on Mint 17.3 for me, but it works on Chromium. Also, this is the log of the logout I reported: May 16 09:00:19 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM... May 16 09:00:59 watchdog: restart httpd May 16 09:00:59 rc_service...

So that page looks fine for you? I usually go dirty unless instructed otherwise. I'll search for that tool. Thanks Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Bug: going in the LAN DHCP page disconnects me and I have to login again. See it also from the icon change attached. BTW what is App?

N66U losing WAN after modem reboot

Hi, I am experiencing this issue for a long while (I am afraid it started when other people on previous threads pointed the same issue to a particular release over one year ago) but now it is exacerbated by my new modem rebooting each time I accept a phone call. Basically whenever the modem...

[Solved] Modifying Openvpn setup manually will be overwritten at reboot?

It worked. One curious thing though: - I added tls-auth, which filled automatically the static key field at next restart - then I replaced it with mine (in GUI), but at reboot it was not there, I had to replace it directly in file

[Solved] Modifying Openvpn setup manually will be overwritten at reboot?

As I suspected. I'll have some trial and error then, especially for ta file, although there is some hmac setting :) Thanks!

[Solved] Modifying Openvpn setup manually will be overwritten at reboot?

Hi, I generated keys for my openvpn server and I just wanted to copy the files in /etc/openvpn and change config manually, but will they be overwritten by whatever is in the UI? I know there are certs in /jffs/openvpn that are the same (with different names) in /etc/openvpn. Also I don't know...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

does anybody else with RT-N66U got jffs in read-only after flashing this? going back to 378.56_2 brought me back to normal jffs, although I had to re-enable jffs scripts.

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

hi guys, i finally had time to have a look at the read-only jffs, and my first try was successful: restore older version of merlin FW. so @RMerlin in my case latest rls from xmas screws my jffs and makes it read only. flashing back 378.56_2 restored automatically everything as far as i could...

Missing keys and certificates in openvpn after update to 380.57

I don't mind starting from empty jffs. I already rewrote the vpn scripts I need. :) What I really don't want to lose are the rest of the settings (at each update). And find a good backup mechanism to restore also jffs at each update. The read only jffs must be a glitch. I hope reset will...

    [Solved] jffs Read-only file system

In latest versions i think that option has been removed and enabled by default. At least I didn't see it. Now there is format at next boot and enable jffs
