    Ok, I will confirm later but I am pretty sure jffs is the issue. Then this is a regression, because it happened 2 releases ago and restarted working on. 58. Now the question is whether that is in asus or merlin code :)

    I can check tonight if jffs has the same problem it had in version pre .58. The symptoms are the same: no vpn. I don't know if jffs is supposed to affect somehow the dhcp page.

    Oh, JFFS issues again, didn't expect that. I already had it specifically with version before .58, and most likely it is happening again because I cannot VPN to home with .59, but I can if I revert to .58 :) I tried enabling http on 8080, same issue. BTW: I didn't know I could change icons...

    If it helps, a few posts back I could reproduce the httpd restart consistently in the dhcp page across different browsers. If that's not in the secret Asus code, it seems like a good place to start debugging in a controlled environment. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

    Didn't Asus acknowledge your work if I remember correctly? If for a while they would shift their efforts to port your code into theirs (it would be an admirable humble move), both you and them would probably take advantage of each other in the long run. If they could even open their code...

    I don't mind starting from empty jffs. I already rewrote the vpn scripts I need. :) What I really don't want to lose are the rest of the settings (at each update). And find a good backup mechanism to restore also jffs at each update. The read only jffs must be a glitch. I hope reset will...
