would anyone recommend 2 x RT-AC68U to create mesh network?

Trend Micro's EULA allows them to monitor your data. No thanks.

would anyone recommend 2 x RT-AC68U to create mesh network?

I'm very happy with a pair of 68Us running Merlin with Diversion ad blocking. The routers are about 150' apart in different buildings. With a combination of 9 dbi antennas and a single ALFA dual band directional antenna ($12 from Data Alliance) I'm getting >130 Mbps and RSSI around -60 in a...

    Skynet PayPal is being blocked.

Plenty of issues with PayPal, none that are relevant here. eBay is replacing them with Adyen as soon as their contract is up. I for one can't wait.

Diversion Diversion problems on IOS clients

Thank you. Finally figured it out, instructions not perfectly clear - need to install the pixelserv profile then authorize it. Safari opens the profile, Firefox does not. But now it is up and running smoothly. Thanks again!

Diversion Diversion problems on IOS clients

Diversion 4.1.12 standard. Standard blocking list. I have purged and regenerated the pixelserv certificate. Is that importing? Change pixelserv TLS address? No IOS option for Private Address under WiFi. Thank you -

Diversion Diversion problems on IOS clients

Running Diversion on Merlin 384.19 / RT-AC68U with CloudFlare DNS (WAN). Blocking works flawlessly on PC but on IOS devices some sites are slow to load and the loading bar never stops. Some sites will not load at all despite being allowed in the block list. Disabling Diversion fixes the...

    ASUS RT-AC86U or Asus RT-AC1900U (AC68U B1)

ASUS RT-AC86U has detachable antennas that can be easily replaced with hi-gain antennas. The Asus RT-AC1900U (AC68U B1) has non-removable antennas.

    Missing devices in network map?

Tried setting up as a mesh node. Wired devices ran a bit slower . 5gHz devices were barely able to connect. Probably too great a range between router and node for 5 gHz. Switched back to repeater mode and everything works fine. Except for the idiot neighbor who is running devices on channels 3...

    Missing devices in network map?

120 feet is not a problem. We have a 100 Mbs internet connection. The repeater is getting 175 Mbs at -65 dBM. AiMode does not connect at this distance. Performance is not the problem. The repeater network map shows the router - the router network map does not show the repeater. arp -a shows all...

    Missing devices in network map?

2 brand new RT-AC66U B1 routers, one as wireless router, one as repeater. Both on Asus-Merlin 384.19. They are about 120' apart, link rate 175 Mbps, -65dBm. The router lists 1 local device but does not list the repeater or any of its connected devices on the network map. The repeater indicates...
