    RT-AC87U could be great because it can achieve 1700mbps and has MU-MIMO but its Quantena radio gets broken too frequently. You've made a good choice. IMHO wrt1900ac and RT-AC68U are the sweet spot at this moment. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Well, I use a different SSID for each band, but it also works sharing the same SSID for both. But now that you mention your iPhones, you should search in the forum because you'll find lots of useful threads about issues with Apple devices when switching bands.

    AC1900 Now or Wait and See on AC3200?

    I have the AC68U and in my case my Nexus 5 switches perfectly from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz when i'm close enough whithout losing connection at any moment, although the Nexus 5 features a Broadcom radio as the Asus router, a factor wich perhaps helps. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    AC68U to custom firmwire or not

    With Merlin's firmware you can access to the JFSS (persistent) partition, and enables you to install many packages through optware or entware software. I.E. Instead of that nasty Download Master I use Transmission as torrent downloader. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    TjMax for BCM4709 is 120°C. If you still want to cool the router then don't be fool and get a laptop cooler or a 40mm 5V fan spliced with usb cable . You can easily lower temps by 20-25°C You are not going to achieve any significant gain reapplying thermal compound and someday you may regret...

    How To use enable both channels on ASUS N900 router?

    ¿Does the usb led light on when the stick is inserted? If it so, ¿have you tried mounting the stick manually? If usb device is actually detected then the stick partition should appear as /dev/sda1 or /dev/sdb1. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Bug Report - "good" signal strength not displaying correctly

    The new Client Status icons don't show anymore signal strenght in dBm when you mouse over. An incomprehensible backward step.
