Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

um, but... there is a wifi bug in 386.7... so... you might want to temporarily re-think about stock FW.

    GT-AX11000 strange reboots

I had issues with my AX11000 after about 18 months. while it didn’t reboot, it lost all connectivity with main (it is used as an extender) and the UI crashed. All of my other Asus routers - and it when it was new - connect within 2-5 seconds. ultimately I RMA’ed it.

This is like the third or fourth post on the same topic re: Ring camera.

Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

Not yet. Have you tried the release firmware from this week, on Asus site? https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/WiFi-6/All-series/RT-AX88U/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Unable to connect to the Parent AP

I'd do one of the two: 1. OEM firmware - as noted above. 2. Or try 386.5_2 386.7 has some major (wireless) issues, as I've personally experienced on my test router.

Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

This says it all: "Pretty much tired of arguing with support trying to persuade them anything at this point. The last resort I had - was scheduling everyday reboot, which seems increases the odds of router to "survive" to the end of the day." Sounds similar to my AX11000 woes... replaced May...

ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC86U 386.5_2 lost access to web interface

Ah, blaming bad power for ASUS router webui issues. Maybe merge with the AX11000 thread so I can enter my FedEx tracking number which had the new unit which … fixed it.

ASUS GT-AX11000 dropping out? How do I troubleshoot?

I hear you - were all Asus owners. I’ve owned over a dozen, and recommended and/or installed over 100 for clients. The first to sting me (badly) was an AC3200, two of which I dismantled after they burned out after months. So some have soured based on some pretty major (non subjective) issues...

ASUS GT-AX11000 dropping out? How do I troubleshoot?

Subjective. Especially when some (many?) of us are experiencing radio burnout or corrupted embedded code after 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 months.

ASUS GT-AX11000 dropping out? How do I troubleshoot?

Okay. Yet the harsh feedback of people who have this issue centers around how we're all imaging it, how it's power-related (i.e. our power is damaging our devices), or planned obsolescence (after 3 months)

ASUS GT-AX11000 dropping out? How do I troubleshoot?

Nah - I think this is a hardware issue.

    ASUS failed; [update - replaced]

Just another point - there are other threads on this same issue. We’re not imagining things, and it’s not “dirty power… damaging our routers…” Something is wrong with the AX11000

ASUS GT-AX11000 dropping out? How do I troubleshoot?

Interesting you posted this. since my post in March, I had it replaced by Asus with a 2022 built (v1.1; mine was v1). Honestly I haven’t tested it yet, since I’m using my old RT-AC5300 as a repeater - and it’s stable if not 30-40% slower. But I got beaten up in another post, and it took a lot...

    ASUS failed; [update - replaced]

The replacement model was built in 2022, and is v1.1 (versus v1), so my hopes are higher. Something absolutely went wrong with my first one - used as a repeater. My old RT-AC5300 does exactly what's expected (notably re-connecting to main after power outage within 5-15 seconds; I can go to...

I used to poo-poo AX until I got the - ironically - GT-AX11000. I'm seeing 600Mbps to wired and wireless clients, and on my AT&T home gateway, up to 700-750Mbps (wireless)... (I don't have anything AXE / 6Ghz yet - but I believe Ubiquiti supports it via firmware upgrade - i.e. the radios were...

I actually purchased - and returned on my dime - their consumer-grade AmpliFi Alien, and stuck with the AX11000 + GT-AC5300 setup. With that said, if anyone tries to buy Ubiquiti now... it was sold out (some is back in stock)...

Been there. I've dealt with price/cost concerns in BOM's (bill of materials). But I have *not* dealt with it in the past 2 years, in which labor, parts shortages, and severe supply chain havoc has thrown everything into a maelstrom. With that said, my AX11000 was manufactured in 2019. Before this.

    ASUS failed; [update - replaced]

so it's the reset button + unplug/replug. I tried this 3 or 4 times, and it never worked - it kept going back to normal. Since ASUS chose to replace my router within 25 minutes of acknowledging receipt/tech working on it... methinks my router was broken.

    ASUS failed; [update - replaced]

How do you get in? I've tried a bunch of button presses and could not get the router to work in recovery mode (obviously with the app running on a Windows machine... unless we're talking SSH). I'm going to stand my ground here. They have asked pointless questions - first, about my motherboard...

    ASUS failed; [update - replaced]

I've been holding off on going semi-pro (Ubiquiti) because I'm cheap and didn't think I had enough devices (now we have 55-70 devices including a dozen computers and the remainder smart home crapola) or prosumer (expensive mesh i.e. Orbi RBKE953S or Amplifi Alien), but after my recent issues -...
