    As a followup I tried with factory fireman and then uploaded Merlin and of course no different . But Merlin is loaded now just FYI.

    This is what I have on the computer screen: Ensure that your cable has been connected to your RT-AX86U Pro WAN port and your modem. Check if your Operation Mode needs to be changed. Use the phone as modem

    I got the RT-86u Pro but am having problems with setup. I can get to the setup site on the computer and go thru the process but it says no internet. I have tried to use the ASUS app as well it will not connect it says to connect to a better Wi-Fi which I do, but still not internet. Thank you...

    Nice review. I'll need to watch again and take some notes. I did a quick on the GT AX 6000 and the AX 88u Pro and both are around $250 + tax. So your choice would be the GT AX6000? I may need to way another month to get the extra dollars. Would you buy a used one to save 30$

This is probably not the place to ask this questions and I don't want to get banned but where does a Linksys RT-AX6000 fit in this upgrade thought process. I get one for around 200$
