Help with a simple Queue on RouterOS please

Apparently, if you are using fasttrack, you cant use simple queues. So, I guess that grand experiment is over. All I really wanted to do was prioritize PC traffic over everything else, so when everyone else is streaming, the PC would still be capable of gaming without lag going through the roof...

Help with a simple Queue on RouterOS please

EDIT-sorry for the pics not working, they were on my end but it is a DNS issue with my website being fixed. Hopefully in the next day, you can see the issue more clearly (since the pics will be working)

Help with a simple Queue on RouterOS please

Thanks kvic, Ill mess around with it some more today. I eventually want to build a little more complex QoS, but not much more. I figured I would start out at the very easiest, and failed lol. I read that example you posted (and a lot of other stuff before I even started). The issue is most stuff...

Help with a simple Queue on RouterOS please

Have a post on their forum as well. Not really confident someone will offer help there though. Lot of people on there, not a lot of help.

Help with a simple Queue on RouterOS please

Part4 But if I go under the traffic tab for each simple queue don't see any traffic for either of them: Is this is a known bug? Did I do something wrong? Is it really working? If so how can I tell? Thanks for any help in this matter!

    New hEX

To be honest if I didn't just want another toy to mess around with, there was no need to buy the hEX, as the ERL is really nice and picking one over the other is really just a subjective choice. I do want to throw on some stone washed blue jeans every time I fire up winbox though. One other...

    New hEX

Definitely put the ERL away as a back up. I just like this hEX too much. Only thing left to do is set up a VPN and try setting up a QoS tree for gaming while my family is streaming. Winbox and the Dude really won me over. Just a ton of stuff to play with and learn. Performance wise it feels the...

Apparently it is fine, and just a visual bug in the UI showing some things blocked when they are not.

Help me get ipv6 setup on router OS

The IPv6 Pool looks like this: I created a new IPv6 address and assigned it to E2LAN (using the prefix from the client area in the address box, and TWC as the pool) looks like this: My IPv6 Address List looks like this: Now when I go to test IPv6 it fails with these results: So my...

Help me get ipv6 setup on router OS

Dangit thiggins I put this in the wrong section!!!! I am sorry can you move this to Other WAN and LAN? I am using EdgeOS 6.38rc52. I have Time Warner Cable (IPv6 works when using a ERL, so I know it is possible to get this working). I am using interface E1WAN as WAN coming in from a CM600 cable...

    New hEX

Not a whole lot of English speaking help when trying to figure out routerOS at a beginner level. I have managed to get the dynamic DNS working, assigned static ip addresses, a proper SSL certificate installed, my ports forwarded that I need, and I have the Dude server up and running with the...

    New hEX

Well it got here today. Plugged it in and ran with the default config (changed the password, and updated to the latest routerOS). Installed a 32Gb micro SD card. Now I have a lot of googling to do. I want to get it set up doing the same things the ERL is doing, but it is not as straightforward...

    New hEX

I just ordered one of these yesterday, arrives tomorrow. Pretty excited to mess around with it and learn routerOS. I am really interested to see how it compares to the ERL I have now. We are moving into a home next year and plan on moving up to wired APs (from the Orbi) and either a ERPro or...

    Netgear Orbi discussion thread

    Netgear Orbi discussion thread

I tried capturing using tcpdump from the edgerouter and couldn't really get anything useful. So I went to the debug page for orbi, and grabbed the log from there. The Orbi gives the guest network its own interface in my case it assigns ath2 and ath11 to the guest network (2.4ghz and 5ghz...
