Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

No MLO here. WiFi 7 yes. It looks like I'll have to bone up on this.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Back to the Pixel and the differing MACs. I just setup my old AX86U as a router. Connected my Pixel. MACs are the same in both the client list and the wireless log. So, I'm confused now.

Best coax amplifier and splitters for MoCA 2.5 Ethernet?

You should take a look at what frequencies MoCA uses. From memory, none of the active equipment you mention is going to pass a MoCA signal. Basically, you will need to isolate the signal to the MoCA devices. I have a single 2-way splitter on my incoming. One goes to cable, one goes to my modem...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

There's a disconnect between the network list client map and the wireless log See my previous example. The Pixel shows no connection info in the client list while that info was in the log entry. Not a huge thing to me, I don't have strange or unknown devices connect to my network. Thanks for...

What are the kernel: Failed delete entry fe80:0000:0000:0000:b457:c8ff:feb5:3415 ^M messages about?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

What do you know, working on the test build. I was away for awhile and just got back. It took maybe 4-5 minutes after it connected to WiFi, but while I was on the page, the ID apperaed.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

First, the file inside that directory was named exactly as the last test. I downloaded and installed anyway. Nothing changed. Let me say that any device that has a static assignment is always ok in both the client list and the wireless log. Devices that don't have a static assignment are...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Loaded it and no change in the odd MAC for the Pixel

    Correct name and MAC in dnsmasq.leases 73105 94:45:60:60:cd:18 10.10.100.182 Pixel-8-Pro 01:94:45:60:60:cd:18

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I see an IoT network that was created while setting up the router (I think). It is listed in Guest Network Pro. I do not need or want the network, but don't see a way to delete it. Is there a way to remove this network?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I have no guest network and do not have MLO active. I do see that the MAC address is different in the wireless logs, but no idea why. The MAC shown in the wireless log is incorrect, but just the last number. Wireless log shows 19 while the actual is 18

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I use 'Use Device MAC', not randomized MAC. There are a couple others that fail to ID in the wireless log while they are OK in the client list. Seems to be anything that is not a static assignment is affected.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

It is directly on the router and MLO has been disabled.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I do. The wireless log looks good, but for the WiFi 7 client, only the MAC is shown, the device name is shown in Network Map, client list. Not a huge deal to me, but nice if it were the device name as the 2.4 and 5 band clients.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I'm setting up an ASUS GT-BE98 Pro with the current beta of 3006.102.1 and have come to the part where I need to add to dnsmasq On my old AX86U, dnsmasq.conf.add went into jffs/configs Is this the same location on the new build and hardware? Is it going to have the same format now that different...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.1 Beta is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I'm not using VPN so can't test any related items. However, beta 1 over alpha 2 comes up and runs fine. No issues with IPv4 and IPv6 port forwarding.

    [ 3006.102 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

This is the stock default WiFi setup with the exception of enabling MLO Pixel 8 Pro connection info as tested. First is the BE96 next image is the AX86 Link speeds are greatly different in favor of the BE96 but not reflected in throughput.

    [ 3006.102 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I just installed a GT-BE98 Pro. WiFi throughput is abysmal. My AX-86U pushes 800+ to my Pixel 8 Pro The BE98 is lucky to clear 430 Same conditions. I may have to return it. Performed the same on latest stock and alpha 2.

CVE 2023-50868 and CVE 2023-50387 in dnsmasq when DNSSEC is enabled

I see. I patch when patches are available, so just wondering what the real world user impact was. Thanks
