    I don't think DDWRT or OpenWRT. I've thought about one of these as a travel router on the go and an unobtrusive mesh unit when not, but the GL-iNet solutions are under more active development and cheaper as a travel router.

    Scribe has a function called sync_conf()that it uses to update syslog-ng.conf to whatever the installed version of syslog-ng is. You need to comment out each time the function is called in order for syslog-ng to start in a compatibility mode for an earlier version, like 3.6 instead of 4.7...

    A great router but still with teething problems via a vis OpenWrt and the Mediatek drivers. Also, the GL.iNet skin, while very capable and useful, only handles one VPN connection at a time, so there isn't anything like VPN Director or 10 possible clients and three servers.

    I forget exactly why, but Schwabe's app is much more capable than OpenVPN Connect. It would always work for me on a Chromebook when OpenVPN Connect wouldn't.
