    @Martinski I made the changes from your #47 pull request in my installed scribe script and I think there may be a problem. I think syslog-ng expects the version to be 4.7, not 4.7.1, so it fails to start. If you correct the conf file to 4.7, scribe corrects it to 4.7.1 and there you go again...

    Because the OP referred to /opt/var/log. That is only used by syslog-ng, so it had to be a scribe problem.

    You don't need a bi-directional connection to send a Roku down the tunnel, and I haven't found an inbound rule necessary either. But certain apps on a streamer, particularly Amazon Prime, may need DNS set to "exclusive" if you are out of the country.

    This isn't a complaint. Make sure you have a current backup of everything before you update. I went from .7 to .8 on an AX86 Pro with two openvpn clients with killswitches. Without a current backup. I lost everything, including the whole addon stuff on an SSD. I can't say I wasn't warned. :)...

    #1, #2 and #3 aren't giving you any kind of test. Only #4 is worthwhile. So figuring out #1, #2 or #3 is a waste of your time. OpenVPN binds on all interfaces by default, so #1 and #2 are never leaving the LAN. I suspect any device on the LAN you might reach is not going through the OpenVPN...
