    Best Inclass?

Another vote for the GT-AX6000. I purchased it for myself and have subsequently had 2 other relatives purchase it for themselves, based on my recommendation. It's a beast.

    adblocking recommendation

We took a day trip about a month ago to see the VLA for the first time. We were blown away. It really makes you think and wonder about what’s out there. I assume you’re near Moab or Zion. Absolutely stunning too. Sorry for going off topic.

Diversion Diversion large list from oisd.nl crushes my GT-AX6000

If I remember correctly, this is what I did. Create the hosts.add file and enter the line below. Save and when finished, restart dnsmasq. nano /jffs/configs/hosts.add 0.0.0.0 scribe.logs.roku.com service restart_dnsmasq You should now see it in your hosts file. cat /etc/hosts

Diversion Diversion large list from oisd.nl crushes my GT-AX6000

I had one Roku device and it was notorious for flooding the router with requests when it couldn’t phone home. I’ll bet with 8 of them being blocked that it’s too much for the router. Can you look at the stats and prove or disprove this theory? I ended up sinkholing the Roku requests by mapping...

Diversion Diversion large list from oisd.nl crushes my GT-AX6000

24 hours later running the large list and I have had no issues. I do run pixelserv-tls and no issues there either. Swappping is happening, though not much: total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 1018784 977664 41120 3848 51572...

Diversion Diversion large list from oisd.nl crushes my GT-AX6000

I've found my GT-AX6000 doesn't use the swap file because swappiness is set at a default of 0. You can check by using the free command. I ended up modifying the default swappiness according to this post...

What about creating a swap file via amtm to see if that helps?

Wireguard Server - not showing connection status?

I have noticed this as well. There is a log file at /tmp/etc/wg/wgs1.log but it doesn't show much, just the server parameters.

GT-AX6000 - some devices cannot connect via WiFi

Make sure you are using 2.4, disable 802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode and use WPA2-Personal. I had similar issues at first and these things were what worked for older devices.

Trying to use Quad9 with new ASUS RT-AX88U Pro

Sorry if this is going too far off the original post but I found this listing of public DNS servers in the US. It can also be used to find foreign country locations for those outside the US. https://dnschecker.org/public-dns/us

Trying to use Quad9 with new ASUS RT-AX88U Pro

@bbunge could you please explain what method you use to find out this info i.e. the distance to each server? I'm in a location where most dns providers are slower.

All is good and working on my GT-AX6000. As noted by others, Time Machine backups are working again.

Experience with Apple Time Machine backups on Synology?

I use a few of these old Pogoplug Pro's, hacked and running Debian with a 2TB SSD, for our Time Machine backups. Works great and I think the last one I purchased was $9.
