BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Super minor feedback on the update input processing - the confirm [y/n] prompt for updates uses is a single keystroke read... thats not consistent with most amtm addon update procedures, so I tend to reflexively type "y" and "\n" so the \n gets blasted into the next prompt ("Do you want to...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

OK I"m a dumbass (wife will confirm). I just realized I didn't load the dev/beta version. When I did BTW I got 1.8.4 Ran again. Backup completed fine, but, this time no socket errors appeared on-screen... However - YEP. In "ve" I see the socket errors. Looks good!

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Just ran a manual backup ran perfect, didn't try and force a fault or anything just standard routine backup... but looked at log everything looks good. The log file doesn't show the "soft error" messages that do show on screen for skipping sockets on the USB drive backup but that's probably fine?

amtm amtm 4.9 - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu, June 30, 2024 (locked thread)

Sorry man. But you are just proving everything you've been told over and over - that its the GFW on your "LAN" connection dude. I always knew that the IP address thing was a silly theory. Obviously your mobile hotspot has different filtering/blocking than your wired broadband. Again. You...

Oh yeah I DEFINITELY wouldn't have it pause on each error... just pause before the return to the menu so you can review the total screen. I would just add up the returns as you go then if $SUMERR > 0, echo "Damn son check this out there's an error", read, etc. etc.

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Yeah this is exactly what I was saying about the error screen blasting past when there's an error... My thoughts are: 1. Agree grab the stderr/stdout so that same message appears in logs 2. I still would like a 'pause' WHEN running manually. I totally understand Viktor why you might not want a...

amtm amtm 4.9 - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu, June 30, 2024 (locked thread)

Dude its pretty clear you've got GFW problems on what you call your "LAN" connection (do you really mean a wired-WAN connection? or are you doing double-NAT via an actual LAN? That might not be helping your situation if so) . As for the source files... well they are available... so if you...

Yeah so if the script closes but then there's an alert on the main menu screen when it returns... totally works. Then you know to check logs etc. .

Thanks Viktor. In re: your 3 ways... 1. Look at log file Please notice I just told you I did that and it worked great. Perhaps my 'could' got misread, I very much DID find the error in the log once I realized something was amiss 2. Look at the screen Yes, this is what I'm posting about...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Tiny thing but the Status report as you backup doesn't trap for error and then pause... so if there's an error it flashes by (and if you're paged away or looking elsewhere you miss it) would be nice if that was the case? I had a path error (dumb user error) and of course I could find the error...

amtm amtm 4.9 - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu, June 30, 2024 (locked thread)

Would not work for Diversion which requires a swap file. Having a network attached swap file is a no-go, although it would be amusing to see if the router would actually allow you to set it up. An NFS mount would probably work for things that only require 1. persistent storage, 2. entware...

Skynet How to see which domains get blocked by Skynet?

Found this checking to see if anything new had been done here but I guess not. So the official way is to resolve to IP and use "Stats - Search - Malware" function. From a shell this is pretty easy: use bind or dig to get IP address x.x.x.x then... firewall stats search malware x.x.x.x Can...

Need help with syslog being spammed with kernel messages

Just found that dig was broked on my 388.7 install, found this post and fixed instantly. Thanks.

AiMesh nodes get Scheduled Reboot settings pushed by master

Just confirming here, this all seems to "work"... the node is reliably rebooting on same schedule as the primary, I can see with uptime when I SSH to the node. Have not tried changing schedule on the primary and then checking to see if it changes on the node, I will maybe try that now...

AiMesh nodes get Scheduled Reboot settings pushed by master

We have pizza for dinner on Thursday. My wife prefers pepperoni and I prefer sausage but we can usually work it out.

AiMesh nodes get Scheduled Reboot settings pushed by master

This is just an FYI thread because I dont' see this anywhere and I think it might be helpful for searches. TL;DR - When you add a new node now, AImesh now seems to push the current scheduled reboot settings from the primary to the nodes, creating in fact a "System Reboot" on the exact same...

    Cannot ssh to aimesh node

Just want to say for searchers who find this thread like I did... this totally worked for me. Dropped the node, added it back. Firmware updates must have made AImesh stuff a little better since I set the system up some time ago, because it went smoother than before (didn't have to dance...
