    Sadly, history has proven that RMerlin is constantly "questioned", regarding fixing Closed Source issues. Glad to read that your alpha experience "so far" has been smooth and positive! EDIT: @shabbs saw your post, and for a brief moment I thought RMerlin posted the 6000 into the alpha stage.

    What does the "change log" state, regarding any closed source wifi changes? I just want to limit the questions addressed to RMerlin about closed source changes/effects. I'm glad to read all the positive posts with this alpha!

    That company ac infinity seems to have moved from component cooling to hydroponic/greenhouse supplier. Looked at them for a home-lab cooling solution, but use a usb laptop cooler for a fraction of the cost. RE: post #34 I'm addicted to placebos. I could quit, but it wouldn't matter. Steven Wright

    @Shaggy1 OVPN how to set up on Asus Router RMerlin VPN Director is where you can use your policy based rules.

    AFAIK Only been using, since testing stages of latest RMerlin FW, and "verification" has always been there. I have not experienced any issues with disconnects or failing to update WAN IP, also using no-ip.

    @john385 I'm also on a cable connection with both OVPN/WG without issue. I have never used Asus ddns. I've been using "noip.com", which is easily setup on the router. Edit: also using Let's Encrypt. Only began using OVPN/WG/Let's Encrypt during the testing phases of this latest release.

    We updated our AC86 to GT-AX6000 (both w/ RMerlin Latest), and have zero issues with our home network. Typically move replaced router to AP position, as you are doing.

    Dang Mister, you sure keep that beauty clean. There have been so many "shenanigans" being played by WD, that I've been looking at the status page, when updating DS and packages. DS-918+ running 24/7, and luckily 4-WD 10TB REDs and 2-970 500GBs are still Green and Healthy.

    o_O16K sqft home and you're questioning a few K? I spent $3K doing my palatial tract home of 2500sqft (single-story), more than a decade ago. Edit: Why are you thinking Cat 5e, and not 6 (at minimum)?
