    Definitely, wait for wide support of Wifi-6e when you can use more 160MHz channels without DFS. Recent Wifi-6 routers probably wont ever get 6e upgrade.

    Maybe there is a different behavior for each region and they reduced 2.4GHz power e.g. for EU, those with dropped 2.4 should mention the region where they live or bought the router!

    remove right-side 68U, they only produce interferences nearby as they are. And if possible use LAN-backhaul for main and node, Wifi always 2nd choice.

    There are many threads with problems but much less for 58U. And 58U got Merlin support now, big advantage for even less money.

    Cant see your problem! You still have your old and trusty and even still supported 87U, so much better than many others without internet during RMA. If the returned router works correct be happy, otherwise return and get your money back.

    Your disconnects might be rather firmware problem than poor signal. Try with AP mode instead of Aimesh and different SSID on 2.4GHz, then connect your cameras to this new SSID.

    did you enable DFS channels? Otherwise it cant use 160MHz. And maybe depending to you region it isnt allowed or implemented on the router.

    He wouldn't ask if it not available, but other concern about security updates more than a year. Do you know the reason for a dedicated IoT antenna?

    I would prefer RT-AX58U with Merlin support. Cant say anything about Xiaomi.
