[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I'm currently running v33E7 on my RT-N66U. Bit confused if I should upgrade to v36E4 because of the OpenVPN issues I read about? Really need to have OpenVPN to run reliable, which it does on v33E7. (Edit: Using certificates to login.) Any advice please?

Installed V29A9 on my RT-N66U. Tested CTF as well. (Usually disabled because of iptraffic.) No problems so far. :)

I volunteer. :) Installed on my RT-N66U. On top of V28E8 without factory reset. Got a message to manually reboot after flash. No big deal. JFFS was untouched. Checked RF coverage before and after and I don't see a difference. Quick test seems all is working. I'll let you know if something...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

With the upcoming possibility of a WiFi driver change related to KRACK, I'm looking to replace my old RT-N66U with a second hand RT-AC68U. Should I look for the Rev A1,A2,B1 or is it better to go for the Rev C1,E1? I'm also not sure if I understand about the 'L' and 'E' builds for the AC68U...

Hard to answer that question. It depends on what you are looking for. If you depend on a GUI, then yes XCA is better. Personally I look for if it's actively maintained. Especially security related stuff. Latest update for XCA is 2015-10-17. EasyRSA latest stable is from august this year...

Great, that means router generated certs will not cause any problems with the current OpenVPN Connect app for Android. :)

It's all working now with OpenVPN Connect for Android 1.1.23 Also MAKE SURE your Server and Client certs are NOT signed with the MD5 signature hash-algorithm. This is not allowed anymore with the new OpenVPN Connect for Android. @john9527 What is the default if you let the router generate...

We have to guess which router you use?

Not 100% sure what you mean with that. Which setting in the "VPN Details" page is that?

Just a FYI. OpenVPN Connect for Android update 1.1.22 has a bug. (Since a few days available in the Play Store.) It makes it impossible to connect to your OpenVPN server on the router. Such a pain, but seems client side related. Not server side. So, if you're using OpenVPN, don't update your...

Ahhh, makes sense. Thx. Needed, because I do have ru in the list. :)

    Country blocking script

Tested a bit and it seems to be working well! Running a cron job and see how it goes. One question about the Tor stuff. Below line a really don't understand. What's going on here and what is up with the /22 IP range? $(ipset -q $SWAP BlockedCountries BlockedCountries) && ipset $DELETE...

You really should not want to use 500mW. If that even works a lot of RF distortion will come from the WiFi radios. Definitely will suck. Just add an extra Access Point. (Ubiquiti UAP-AC-Pro works great in my house.)

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Version 2.5 is working great! :) Also deleted ya-malware-block.urls to get the new one. A lot of new urls! I was still using the below urls because of the recent GitHub drama. ;) Is it OK if we use Git now? In the new ya-malware-block.urls file a lot is active. (No # sign in front.) What...

No, no login(s) at that time. Also my hosts file is very basic, only a few lines and never edited. I keep an eye on it and try not to worry about it. :D
