Multifunction printer working via LPR...scanner not working

Hi, is there a reason for connecting it using the router's USB port and not use the printer's built-in wifi capability? I've never used Canon, but my HP multifunction printer works flawlessly through wifi.

RT-A86 running 388.1 lost Diversion, spdNerlin & FlexQoS after several power losses

I'd do a hard reset and then restore your saved settings. If it doesn't work, then do a hard reset again and configure everything from scratch.

Update RT-AC68U firmware: 3.0.0.4.376.44_0 (Merlin build) to the latest version: 386.9_0

Well, it is an old router, so it may be just showing it's age. However, I have three AC68U configured for relatives that keep working perfectly well. One of them is running 386.9 without problems. Of course, the "works well" assessment depends on your specific needs. It also it may be hampered...

Update RT-AC68U firmware: 3.0.0.4.376.44_0 (Merlin build) to the latest version: 386.9_0

The bigger size of the latest verions is due to the inclusion of a separate firmware veersion for the AC68U v4, which has a different hardware. As far as I know, there is no relevant change in the firmware size for your older AC68U. I'd recommend also to try a hard reset without restoring your...

DDNS update not working on 388.1

Well, I'm not lying, DDNS still works fine here, with two OpenVPN servers. My point wasn't to imply that the OP was incorrect, but to give some information that may help in the troubleshooting process.

    AX86U and 388.1 Connection drop

Maybe a bit too late, but here's what I did and solved my issues with my AX86U and 388.1: Unmount USB Erase JFFS Hard reset Reconfigure everything from scratch WPA2 only No Smartconnect. Separate 2.4 and 5GHz SSID Fixed channel for both frequencies (do a scan to select the ones that have low...

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

Thank you. My current config is set to allow individual users to connect withoout password (using their private key and cert). I'm assuming this is safe (please let me know if it isn't!). The question that I have now is how could I generate those user-specific keys and certs in AsusWRT Merlin.

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

Then I've been doing extra work for nothing...:eek::eek: Now that I remember, I started configuring openVPN in my RT-N66U, using Tomato firmware... many moons ago.

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

Like me! If I'm not mistaken, firmware 384.xx didn't have these keys generated by default. That's why I learned this, and I didn't know it had changed. Are the keys and certs generated by the router good enough? If there is no advantage in using easy-rsa, then I have pone less thing to worry...

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

No, it's not necessary They should be persistent. After clicking the Save button when you enter the keys, did you press "Apply" in the OpenVPN settings?

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

Well, it was like that for me at the beginning. Let's begin with the keys generated by easy-rsa: In the PKI folder you'll find the "ca.crt" and "dh.pem files". Open them with a text editor and copy and paste the contents in the respective places (see attached "Keys and certificates" image)...

Asus RT-AC86U - Firmware update 386.9_0 (most recent update) breaks the easy-rsa package as there is no openssl-1.1.1.cnf file

That's what I've done and it works fine. I follow the instructions in this site: https://firxworx.com/blog/devops/creating-certificates-and-keys-for-openvpn-server-with-easyrsa-on-macos Additionally, I create the static key on the router itself and use tls crypt. It's working fine on a AC68U...

Merlin 388.1 AX86U, Wi-Fi connection is to phone dropping frequently, have to turn off and on Wifi on phone to 'fix'. Happens again minutes after.

My issues with my AX86U and 388.1 were driving me crazy, so I scouted the forums to look for some recommendations. This is what I did and worked for me: Unmount USB Erase JFFS Hard reset Reconfigure everything from scratch WPA2 only Separate 2.4 and 5GHz SSID No Smartconnect Fixed channel for...
