    Out of interest when was the last changes made in relation to WiFi? Since the most recent update (RT-AC88U) I've had all kinds of issues with WiFi devices at range, most specifically on the 2.4ghz band. Even got to the point where I dug out my old RT-N66U just to get a WiFi signal to my RING...

    Does indeed double the link speed, why does this feature have such a drastic effect on the network? Notice it's been in ALPHA for some time, should router manufacturers really be advertising a feature that's effectively still test software/hardware? Toon

    Wish I could drop it, unfortunately most SMART HOME devices want 2.4ghz and for good reason due to how they are spread across the home. What effect would turning on 40hz only be? Toon
