    Help Getting GT-AX11000 Wired/Wireless Over 1gbps!

This is most likely a channel bandwidth issue. You need to enable 160mhz channel width and ensure that channel is set to AX only. You should be getting nearly 2gbps on a 4x4 stream device.

    Release RT-AX92U Version 3.0.0.4.386.43084 released 6/3/21

Some news regarding the latest firmware... Hi We have received some feedback regarding WiFi connection reliability under some conditions, and have pulled 3.0.0.4.386.44985. New version is incoming. For the meantime, I will suggest to rollback to the current stable build, 3.0.0.4.386_43084...

    Release RT-AX92U Version 3.0.0.4.386.43084 released 6/3/21

The lessons should have been learnt by now. Wait at least 3 months after release before updating your firmware. It's all beta, if it wasn't, they wouldn't keep back tracking and deleting releases. The "proven" build is 41712, the rest are just tests for now.

    RT-AX92u connection down to 100mbps.

Glad you sorted it. If you are getting 1080mb/s, it sounds like you are already setup. The main tweak is to enable client access to the AX band and set it to AX only. My clients get around 950 mb/s.

    RT-AX92u connection down to 100mbps.

100mb/s is the speed of 2.4ghz. Without knowing your setup, it could be 2 things 1) your device is connecting to 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz (out of range). Consider allowing clients to use the WiFi 6 AX band. It has a greater range than even the 2.4ghz band. If you have 1gb internet, you really...

    WiFi performance Vs cable

My network is used by creatives (film crew). They don't use remote desktop, but they do use team viewer and Adobe cloud services. Had no reports of lag. In fact, they say it's better than their office Internet. As long as you have a nice symmetrical 1gb WAN, an Asus WiFi mesh would be fine...

    WiFi performance Vs cable

I'm not sure. If latency is an issue for you, it's always best to conduct your own tests. I doubt sub 1ms under load is possible. I wanted to build a wireless network where people could stream, game and upload to the cloud at the same time. High latencies under load on our old AC setup effected...

    WiFi performance Vs cable

Asus is the best for WiFi mesh systems, I've tried Google, Netgear, Ubiqui and sent them all back. Latency and throughput was the primary reason I settled on Asus. WiFi 5 will add around 2ms - 3ms, WiFi6 <1ms. If you use a mesh system, the satellites will add around 1ms - 2ms. Current Asus AX...

    Release RT-AX92U Version 3.0.0.4.386.43084 released 6/3/21

The AX86u is a solid router but you won't see speeds as fast as the AX92u for AX clients. For real world gigabit speeds you need either an AX92u or an AX89x

The Asus ZenWiFi AX XT8 is a POS, right?

Welcome to the world of Asus, where everybody is a beta tester. It may be of little comfort now but eventually, all of the problems with your XT8 will be sorted by firmware updates. I was in the same boat with my AX92u's. Don't bother with Google or Orbi's, the performance, range, latency and...

    Release RT-AX92U Version 3.0.0.4.386.43084 released 6/3/21

The AX92u is more than capable of giving you 900 - 950mbps over WiFi and it has a really good range. Click unhide AX band in the 5g2 settings. You will also need to setup a 160mhz wide channel.

    Asus AIMesh Guest network issues

You would create a guest network because you don't want your guests knowing your main WiFi password. I wouldn't trust it for anything else beyond that. Running RMerlin puts you at additional risk as any custom scripts running could have additional vulnerabilities. Setup good firewall rules...

Wifi unstable at Aimesh network AX88U with 2 AX92U

Disable any WiFi and network monitoring tools. This used to happen to me. The culprit turned out to be inSSIDer running on my local machine.

AX92U - slow internet speedtest after upgrade to 3.0.0.4.386_41535-g1caa24a firmware

I was on 41712 for a few months and it was absolutely solid.

WiFi6 - new device in the neighbourhood

Both my neighbor's have 40mhz broadcasters on 2.4ghz. In addition, they also have those Roku sticks that deliberately cause interference to sabotage everybody else. They are conspiracy theorists and are punishing me for having a femtocell, bobcat miners and various earials on my roof. 40mhz on...

    Asus RT-AX92U 160Mhz bandwith ignored

I'm using the latest firmware but this option has been available on the last few revisions. Press the drop down bands menu, you should then be able to select 5g2 Again, this is very confusing and likely a bug. But, it works. Before discovering this, I assumed the AX92u's had a speed limit of...

Anyone knows who designed AX68U and AC65?

It's probably more accurate to say China has the best and worst manufacturing in the world. Their reputation is tarred by the millions of eBay / Amazon sellers who have flooded Western markets with tat off of Alibaba. I'm sure most people here have brought something from China that has broken...

Router Not Detecting When The Internet Is Disconnected

Updating the firmware will fix this but you have to perform a hard reset after you complete the firmware upgrade. A hard reset will clear the NVRAM. I had the same issue with my AX92u's and this fixed it.
