ZenWiFi XD6S just go offline and not work anymore until factory reset

Whatever helps, but clearly a daily reboot to get stable wifi means there’s something wrong with ASUS devices, their firmware implementation or possibly your specific setup. It’s not really a satisfactory resolution IMO.

    Solved Need help Uninstalling

It seems to be expecting a USB, so either it’s the wrong USB from the one that was used to set it up, it’s in the wrong USB port or there’s a disconnect between the previous install and the USB. Maybe try and reinstall Skynet, with USB in place,? If is not that possible via amtm just try the...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Totally understand you separating this from the TAILMON discussion thread, but do come back and let us know how you got on with it, it might help someone else 🙏👍 EDIT: Lots of install instructions everywhere for QNAPs, was quite surprised. The lack of local access seems a common issue though...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Viktor is just being modest. It's actually much more than that, it also offers: a menu-based mechanism to update Tailscale; and a nice monitoring screen to allow you to see which devices are connected; and a mechanism to send you an alert (by email) if it does restart; and a way to easily...

    Solved Need help Uninstalling

Lol, thanks for that, to be fair to the OP, that option doesn't really leap out at you though :) . If it's a legacy thing where folks had it installed / thought it was installed but it is still showing up in amtm, I can understanmd it, but if it's just a menu (or out of sight) option maybe...

    Solved Need help Uninstalling

Hi, When you enter the Skynet menu (2) under amtm, do you have this option? Sorry I do not have Wireguard, but IIRC @lonelycoder mandates that all amtm based Addons have an uninstaller.

Router keeps crashing and rebooting continuously

As above, log interpretation is not an area I know anything about. When I check mine (which is rare), I just look for errors and pseudo errors and try to google them. 1. These reported kernel errors (and there are many of this type in your logs) appear related to AiProtection or Parental...

Router keeps crashing and rebooting continuously

I don't believe these Routers have monitorable warning systems like the OBD Scanners on Cars that identify specific HW failure :). It would be nice... but very unlikely to happen. RAM usage is not an indicator AFAIK. I cannot comment on Temperature as an indicator, but have a look at the linked...

Router keeps crashing and rebooting continuously

I can't comment on the logs (not experienced enough) but there's quite a few reported instances of that router model (a) Overheating and (b) this (and indeed other ASUS models) having PSU (Power Supply) Failures and (c) a 'blown' VR Chip, which someone managed to fix theirs on, by replacing the...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24542

Maybe have a wee look at this thread, I think @RMerlin explains why / why not there. To be fair there is a huge amount he has to do for each model, each time a new GPL comes out, so him limiting his energy and resources (it's just him) to do an amazing job on the models he does support (and...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24542

Neither https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/ nor the gnuton Merlin fork show it being supported so unfortunately, it seems not.

ZenWiFi XD6S just go offline and not work anymore until factory reset

Yes. Fewer LAN ports too. If by stock you mean stock FW I am pretty sure there's only stock FW available. If you meant as few changed settings as possible, I only use mine as nodes with an RT-AX86U Pro, so they are reset and added as nodes by the main Router; I don’t use them as a Router/Node...

ZenWiFi XD6S just go offline and not work anymore until factory reset

Cannot help your issue directly but I did have one of my two remote XD6 (not XD6S) go offline completely and I had to get someone to reset it then I added it again as a node. It’s been about 5 days now, but it’s a concern as it’s remote and might be unreliable / hard to reset. It is on Wired...

AX88U PRO will not transmit GUEST WIFI on AiMesh Node

How did you get on with this? Does it work as expected on GN1? It would be pretty mean if as part of a main 3.0.0.6.102 / node 3.0.0.4.388 combo, they inadvertently (or purposely) crippled the current GN1 Guest Wifi on Nodes. I think you should still expect the main SSID and GN1 to work; just...

Asus AX86u 2.4GHz WiFi Interference Issue

This is what I wanted to do as well, but a few of my IoT (Shelly) devices are much closer to my AIMesh Nodes than my main Router. AIMesh on most current Routers (i.e. running 3.0.0.4 386/388 firmware) only propogates guest network 1 (i.e. GN1) to the nodes, but not the GN2 or GN3 networks. I...

    [RESOLVED] Slooooow UI

I’m pretty confident yes. I don’t use https://www.asusrouter.com:8443 as that resolves to my local router, whereas 192.168.47.1 is my remote router (via a VPN). But certainly when I changed between http and https on that 47.1 address I got the message about downloading the certificate and...

    [RESOLVED] Slooooow UI

Ok so I’ve exported (what I believe to be) the Let’s Encrypt certificate from the WebGui login page that shows up and installed it as a Trusted Certificate in Chrome Browsers on my desktops and in Safari on two iOS devices. The http access remains considerably faster than https, which is nigh...

    [RESOLVED] Slooooow UI

Nope nothing like that. Thanks I might try so I don’t have to revert to http.

    [RESOLVED] Slooooow UI

Does this advice still apply? My GUI, especially remote, is very slow.

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

I believe Synology has it's own OS based on Linux, so I’m guessing it uses a similar approach to an RPi or other Linux device. Here’s the thing that I find very neat though, is that you can configure an Apple TV (IOS17 up) running the Tailscale App, as a subnet router. I use this as a backup...
