    oh my mistake. it shows that HT80+80. But from my reading 80+80 is not same as 160. So maybe you cant utilize that 160Mhz with current AX200 adapter. I'm sorry if my view is wrong.

    RT-AX55 of course will not get Merlin as it does not have USB port. For XT8, it does not have large user base. I also will wait for it but do not give too much hope as it is not easy for Merlin to give support.

    ax68 i think as the cpu looks like same with ac86u. so for openvpn, you'll get more speed.

    In professional setting, please disable universal beamforming and you may try changing your wifi channel either 1,6 or 11.

    Have you check if WPS enable or not? And if already enable, you may tried to reset it and resetup your wireless name and password back. Then, you may proceed to find your node.

    I'm already forgot if it is available to change in official firmware. Right now I'm using latest Beta Merlin firmware and can change that.

    Have you change region in Wireless Professional Setting and set it to your country? Channel 44 is not available to choose in the The United States region.

    For 5GHz, if you want use 80MHz only and not 160MHz, choose non DFS channel [(36-48) and (149-161)] for fast 5GHz wifi start to broadcast. If use DFS channel [(52-64) and (100-144)], the wifi will check for weather radar or airport radar first for 1 minute and then it will broadcast the wifi...

    Take AX86U because it is at the right point in terms of price, support Merlin, support openvpn high speed, have 2.5Gbps port or AX11000 if you have extra money as it supports same as AX86U but have extra band (5GHz-2), RGB and ROG features if don't use Merlin.

    Router temperatures

    My ambient temp is almost 33C. I put 2 fan to blow the AX86U from front side and not the backside. My AX86U temps drops much from 75C to 56C. So the push method is better I think.

    I also want to know the solution as my previous router also become like and I just believed that 5GHz chipset just died. Hope there is solution.
