Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I have Diversion w/ Pixelserv v2.1.1 installed. I see the posters here have Pixelserv v2.1.3-test4 installed which I think is a test version. I would like to confirm v2.1.3-test4 is a test version, should I / why did the posters move to that version and how do I move to that version if I elext...

    [Preview 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 early test builds

RMerlin, thank you for fixing miniDLNA status page. Both 384.5alpha1 and 384.5alpha2 have been working without issue on my RT-AC68U.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

    I modified Samba protocol support to SMBv2 only as recommended. Do the below log entries mean I have a client that is using SMBv1? Mar 1 07:11:34 smbd[16597]: [2018/03/01 07:11:34.311402, 0] smbd/negprot.c:706(reply_negprot) Mar 1 07:11:34 smbd[16597]: No protocol supported ! Mar 1...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

RT-AC68U miniDLNA testing. I disabled the LAN>IPTV>EMF forwarding then tested miniDLNA streaming. miniDLNA streaming is back to working properly with LAN>IPTV>EMF forwarding disabled. Since I never had this enabled prior to 384.3_alpha3 I will leave this disabled unless someone can inform me...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

richardeid, I do not know the answer to your question. All I can do is tell you that RMerlin suggested enabling the LAN>IPTV one. My situation sounds similar to yours. I have HDD usb connected to the router which I store movies on and use to stream to my clients. I have clients that are...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

KennethChile, please look at post#107, RMerlin replied with a suggestion to turn on EMF support from LAN, IPTV tab. When I did this it fixed my streaming. It is the Enable efficient multicast forwarding (IGMP Snooping). Hope this works for you as well.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

I now see HDD's are actually spinning down/up, there are no longer any log entries at the debug level showing the activity.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

RMerlin, thank you. Enabling EMF support has indeed fixed my miniDLNA streaming on 384.3_0. The HDD Hibernation (spin down) broke for me with 384.3. Does anyone have this feature working on 384.3?

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

Can anyone report that HDD spin down is working for them with 384.3 firmware. As an FYI the HDD spin down feature moved from Tools, Other Features to Administration, System, and requires a turn on of HDD Hibernation.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

RT-AC68U. MiniDLNA streaming is still broke with 384.3_0. MiniDLNA streaming broke with the introduction of 384.3_alpha3. I was using 384.3_alpha2-g5b8da38 but since HDD disk spin down also no longer works on any 384.3 firmware, I have decided to flash back to 380.69_2.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 Beta is now available

I have been upgrading my RT-AC68U through each 384 alpha & beta. Did not realize that somewhere along the line miniDLNA streaming broke. I have gone back & tested each alpha/beta and can state the miniDLNA streaming broke with 384.3_alpha3. All prior's work & all subsequent's fail including...

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

RT-AC68U running 382.3 alpha1 up for 3 days all is well. One observation is I cannot get to GUI of AP (RT-N66U) or network Printer (HP 8600) from Client Status list under Network Map. Usually the IP address is underscored (hyperlink), it is not on this firmware version.

[Alpha] Pre-release test builds available (both 380 and 382 branches)

FYI, latest 382.2 alpha2-gdef3266 corrects the Media Server always indicating scanning, it is showing idle for me now.

[Alpha] Pre-release test builds available (both 380 and 382 branches)

Flashed RT-AC68U to 382.2_alpha2, my observation is internet seems very responsive, pages are snapping up. One item I would like to report is that Media Server indicates is always 'scanning...', I do not believe is it scanning because CPU usage & memory usage does not seem to support activity...

    miniDLNA Indexing Issue

Running 380.68.4 on an RT-AC68U. miniDLNA is no longer indexing .vob files. I deleted my minidlna folder & forced a re scan, to my surprise I lost all my .vob files. I flashed back to 380.60.6, again deleted my mindlna folder & forced a re-scan, no .vob were indexed. I then flashed back to...

AC88U - USB 3.0 HDD or Dedicated Plex Server for Streaming?

That should work. The stress point will be the router with that configuration because you will be streaming to & from the router. A NAS is connected to the router via either one or two Ethernet connections and with the embedded minidlna the media is on a HDD hanging of router via the USB...

AC88U - USB 3.0 HDD or Dedicated Plex Server for Streaming?

I have a RT-AC68U. I do use the embedded minidlna server and it works perfectly for me but be aware it has limitations. The embedded minidlna will not perform any transcoding. It will only present the item you are streaming to the client you wish to watch it on. If the client does not handle...
