Plex Media Server running on AsusWRT Arm Routers!!!

I see that you highly recommend Plex over the embedded miniDLNA, my question is why? Since the embedded miniDLNA works perfectly and Plex on the ARM router will not do transcoding, what is Plex bringing that the embedded miniDLNA does not do? I have an RT-AC68U with 2 HD's connected, one HD...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66 Beta is now available

I am responding to your request for feedback on DLNA performance. Embedded miniDLNA is working the same for me. I have not had any stream interruptions in a very long time. Server broadcasting remains the same, always appears within 5 minutes, however, most times it is there immediately...

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

I would like to report the following: When I flashed my RT-AC68U to 380.66 my wired HP Printer became unavailable for some clients. When I disabled airtime fairness the printer became available for the clients that had lost the printer but my two thermostats which are G clients would no longer...

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

Please help, I'd like to try to get this working on my RT-AC68U with 2 HDs mounted with other data on them. I copied the curl command, pasted it into Putty after toggling yes to 'Format JFFS partition at next boot' & 'Enable JFFS custom scripts and configs' then rebooting. After reboot 'Format...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Wanted to chime in on embedded miniDLNA since there have been a few posts on the subject. I find the embedded miniDLNA is better on 380.65 than the previous firmware versions. What I find better is the server broadcasting. On previous firmware versions my clients, 2 Panasonic BluRays & a...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Beta is now available

I'm on 65.beta1, my HP scan to computer is working perfectly. I tested to be sure when I saw the above problem posts. Also, the embedded miniDLNA server is still working for me. I may have to wait up to 5-6 minutes for server to be seen by client, no stream interruptions. My router is a...

I updated to 380-64-a3 monday morning I lost all connections to router 12:15am last night. I'm posting this because I do not believe anything like this as ever happened to my router. I rebooted router when I woke up to restore connections. As an FYI I did not turn on any of the check for...

[Beta] [DLNA] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 Beta 2 - DLNA feedback ONLY

Well done, miniDLNA back to working perfectly for me. miniDLNA was broke for me on 60beta1, 61alpha1 & 61alpha2 for all 3 of my clients. I would randomly but consistently stop streaming a movie. When I reverted back to 59 on each of these. 61beta2 is back to working the same as 59 for me, no...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Understood, I saw you came to this conclusion about minidlna some time ago due to the contradictory posts on the subject. The only reason I posted this time was because you requested feedback on DLNA and for me it was the first time I broke streaming movies to my Panasonic clients ever...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Moved to 380.beta2 with the same results. Wired DLNA clients losing network connection randomly but repeatedly enough so that watching a movie not possible. I have reverted back to 380.59. DLNA is now back to working perfectly on wired clients. As an FYI I am 10/10 on IPV6 test on 380.59 also.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

Edit: Pausing & playing movie does not help. Just dropped connection ~30 seconds after pause/play. Seeems to be random timing but it is doing consistently, cannot watch a movie like this.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

    I have a RT-AC68U which I flashed from 380.59 to 380.60 alpha2 to 380.60 alpha3 to 380.60 beta1. I get 10/10 when testing IPV6. I use DLNA a decent amount what I have noticed is that on the 380.60 alpha3 and on 380.60 beta1 that when watching a movie the movie just stops / cuts out with a...
