    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

Other manufacturers are just as bad, if not worse. At least with Asus we have Merlin. Plus UK law has changed recently and manufacturers must provide updates for X number of years

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

I mean mines the AX86S and I've had it since April 2022, cost me roughly £120 on sale. Updates have slowed down, were now onto WRT5 too. If a decent deal appeared then I'd make the move

Down to £288.99 in the Uk at the minute. £40 more than the AX88U Pro (£244) and £10 less than the BE86U (£299)

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

Considering it's probably the most popular too. Just seems odd. If a decent deal pops up over the 'Black Friday Sales' for the AX86U Pro / AX88U Pro I'll probably be tempted to grab one.

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

Thanks for the clarification. So do we know what the Security Upgrade is that's mentioned here? - https://www.snbforums.com/threads/security-upgrade-option-on-rt-ax88u-pro.88714/ Rebadged signatures?

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

So in my firmware upgrade tab there's no mention of the 'Security Update' or ASD version. I'm assuming I've disabled this at some point, is there an easy way to re-enable it? It doesn't seem obvious? Edit: Enabled AI Protection, that prompted me to accept the terms. Signature update then...

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

Price isn't an issue really, I'd rather have something that's more robust/better long term. Just not sure if spending £340 is the answer if it's more of a sidegrade, than an upgrade
  18. J

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

Yeah that list comes to £340. That's what I'd need to mimic my current setup (AX86s and RP-AX58)

Cloud gateway max is £180 U6 Mesh is £162

So Long, Thanks For All The Help

So to mimic my current setup, I'd need to roughly spend £340 with Unifi. Cloud Gateway Ultra U6 Pro U6 + 2 POE Adapters Hmm. Or £299 with Asus to bump up the router to a BE86u, or £219 for a AX86U Pro
