Is this RT-BE88U WiFi 7 Router supported using asuswrt-merlin? @RMerlin ?
I am debating if i want to purchase it, or if i should go with any of these.
ASUS RT-BE88U - Wi-Fi 7 - 383,31
ASUS RT-AX88U -Wi-Fi 6 - 347,96€

ASUS RT-AX88U PRO - Wi-Fi 7 - 253,47€
ASUS RT-BE58U - Wi-Fi 7 - 229,19€
Asus TUF AX4200 -Wi-Fi 6 - 204,05€
ASUS RT-AX92U -Wi-Fi 6 - 153,36€
RT-BE86U

What is the big difference between the two? Merlin vs Gnuton?
None, just different maintainers. Gnuton is based on my code, just for different models.

Is or will TUF-BE3600 - 247,67€ be supported? @RMerlin

I didn't ask only if it would be supported, but if it "was" already supported.
All you posted was a link regarding "if".
I have no idea if it is already supported since a lot of models are supported under another name.
I am already aware of the "if" part.

No.

I already posted the "was" part and you chose to not read it for some reason.
Wrong models.
I posted another TUF model, but RMerlin already said no, so all good.
I'm still looking and considering my options.
I haven't moved into my new apartment yet, so i still have time :)

Just got a new PC with a 2.5gb network port, and the default ASUS firmware for this router includes iperf3.
So took the opportunity to do a little iperf run on this device.

Throughput seems alright. I assume not hitting 2.5gig exactly is due to encapsulation?

Nice, didn't know Asus had added iPerf3 to their routers. This also made me discover that there's a but in the latest firmware on the GT-AX6000 where speeds from the router are limited to 1 Gbps.

I just ordered a RT-BE88U to tinker a bit. I'm mostly interested to see if the wifi range is any better than my RT-AX86U Pro which disappointingly has worse range than my RT-AC86U.
