    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Correct, guest network doesn't propagate to nodes yet, but believe they were looking to implement in a future release.

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

Agreed. If there were a mesh system with good performance that used wired backhaul, I'd very likely be selling the 2 GT-AC5300's I have and getting that now. Since there isn't one that I feel good about, will wait impatiently for next firmware update that hopefully solves some of these issues.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Thanks. We're all itching to test the latest and greatest you guys have come up with. Hopefully it's been a very productive sprint or two since the last release.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

@Wilson_Deng or @arthurlien is there any update as to when an official or new beta will be released? If beta, where will it be posted? Last few posted seem to be non-Aimesh even though they are 384 based. Have a lot of money in hardware that needs firmware/ software to make it worth the money...

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Looks like both are no mesh firmware. I tried GT-AC5300_9.0.0.4_384_20216-g74b8f6e_ubi.w this morning and ended up having to roll back. Now having more issues than before unfortunately. Can find and add node, but then it won't show up in network map. Shows 1 node until I click on GUI and then...

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Yeah, tried GT-AC5300_9.0.0.4_384_20216-g74b8f6e_ubi.w a short while ago and it's not AiMesh. Agree that the other doesn't sound or look right to me either.

RT-AC68W with FW_RT_AC68W_300438410007 - No AIMesh in GUI?!

Gotcha. May want to send feedback to the team with all settings for them to review. Does sound strange.

RT-AC68W with FW_RT_AC68W_300438410007 - No AIMesh in GUI?!

Follow the directions as written? Discovery will happen when nodes are within a few feet of one another. After finding and adding, you'll move the node and change the backhaul selection between auto/ ethernet.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

As asked above, what is the difference between the 2 betas for the GT-AC5300? Thanks

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Maybe @arthurlien or @Wilson_Deng can provide us some updates? Saw FAQs get updated on the support pages, so figured something must be coming soon.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Thought 384 fork was AImesh and 382 was going to be standard? @arthurlien , could you answer? Also, will these betas only be released on the 52asus.com site going forward or will it be available somewhere on this site? Thanks!

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Can only help in answering one...when scanning, it appears as though the lower 5GHz channel (5G-1) is being used for backhaul between the 2 tri-band routers (see full 80MHz in use from router and only 20MHz being utilized on the node).

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

Not sure...would love to hear some results from this forum. I may try later towards the end of the work day since I WFH and can't afford to be down too long right now.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Was already done: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DZamLJAAGNAOVeRnP8fKgImJNRAWqf_Q/view?usp=sharing Were reports on that forum of issues with 5G-2 however, so will want to ensure you have firmware to roll back to if needed.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Glad I didn't rush to install since that seems to be the clear channel that isn't touched by backhaul with AImesh enabled. Had hoped we'd have a great firmware to try out. Guess I may hold out a little longer.

    RT-AC5300 lack of updates

Seems as though AiMesh uses the lower 5Ghz channel for the wireless backhaul between nodes, which could’ve caused the disconnects? Know I saw the node using only 20Mhz of the 80MHz allotted (router using all 80), so figured I’d just stay off that for now. Glad it’s working well for you. Sent...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

When I enabled and tweaked it, seemed to have worse performance than when disabled. Would often see my phones on LTE as opposed to WiFi...they'd switch over eventually, but didn't see that behavior when RA was disabled. Tried tweaking based of RSSI received on laptop and phone with no real...

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

AIMesh official release should come in the next week from the sounds of it. Have the beta running on my 2 GT-AC5300 so far with pretty good results (wired backhaul and as APs due to AT&T fiber gateway), but don't put it through some of the stress many of you would.

    RT-AC5300 lack of updates

Production firmware for the GT-AC5300 should be out in the next few days from what I'd read before. Be patient as I'm sure they've got tons going on, especially with CES coming up.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Thanks. Using ethernet, so not an issue for me then. :)
