    RT-AX86U (non-Pro) Firmware?

    That's what that model is supposed to use (3.0.0.4.388_x). The non pro RT-AX86 series apparently won't get the 3.0.0.6.102_x firmware. That 3.0.0.6 firmware version is reserved for certain routers like the Asus "Pro" series (like the RT-AX86U Pro).

    Unless things have changed, @RMerlin appears to possibly indicate redirecting IPv6 traffic may be problematic "due to the volatile nature of IPv6 addresses".

    As a troubleshooting step. Try removing the credentials to or for the Asus Router Samba Shares in the Windows Credentials Manager, if you haven't done so already. You may need to reboot the Windows PC after removing a windows credentials manager entry.

    Nothing to add, there is already an option to block internet access in the stock and Asus-Merlin firmware. Both can block from the Network Map > Client dialog window. And one can use Asus-Merlin Parental Controls section to block Internet Access per client.
