If you've enabled AiProtection then disabled it, you would also need to go into Administration > Privacy and select the Withdraw button to fully stop the AiProtection service/feature.

Crystal ball - aka which router is likely gonna make it for a while

This is addressed/answered in the [FAQ] READ ME FIRST before posting a question forum stick/tacked post: And from the Asus-Merlin.com Wiki FAQ page: A bit more from Rmerlin on why only certain models are supported with the 3006.102.1/2 firmware here...

    Release RT-AX86U Pro Version 3.0.0.6.102_34319 09OCT24 (2024/10/16 ?)

Will probably do the same when it hits the support page for download. Been waiting for the next 3006.102.x to drop before taking another look at the 3006 firmware and it's various "new" features.

YazFi Guest Network not showing connected clients

A thought occurred. Check to see if those YazFi WiFi clients that show up on the main LAN with main LAN IP addresses are listed in the NVRAM. An example of a way to check NVRAM (using SSH) to see if any Custom Client Lists are present...

Latest CEVs regarding Asus routers, and what exactly is affected ?

What was the CVE they mentioned? If it was CVE-2024-3080 then it's already been patched by Asus earlier this year and there have already been a number of past posts/discussions about CVE-2024-3080 here. Just a couple of the past discussions...

    Asus XT9 Hidden Networks

By hidden networks do you mean you are seeing IP address ranges/subnets of 192.168.101.x and 192.168.102.x? If so, expected behavior. It's the WiFi Guest Networks. https://www.snbforums.com/search/1265655/?q=192.168.101.&o=relevance

YazFi Guest Network not showing connected clients

Are there current DHCP manual IP reservations for the YazFi guest network WiFi devices in question in the router GUI's LAN > DHCP Server > Manual Assignment section? If so remove them, save the changes, and reboot the router. The Network Map is well known (as evidenced by may other discussions...

Sudden VPN client issues with RX-AX82U

What firmware and firmware version are you running on the RT-AX82U? Gnuton? Or stock Asus? Have you contacted the person in charge of the work VPN (assuming its not you) to see if they have changed anything on their end? Could be they may need to provide new setup instructions or cert file.

    Newbie 🙂 ASUS AX82U v1 WiFi Query

Generally the default WiFi settings are sufficient for most people. It may help others provide recommendations on what settings to possibly change if you provide more information about your setup and use case. What types of WiFI devices are you using? And how many? What are their WiFi...

Connecting a node directly (wired) to the Internet?

Why would you want to connect the AiMesh node to the internet directly, bypassing the main AiMesh router? What is the use case for such a setup? Doing so, even if its possible (which it likely isn't), potentially opens up security vulnerabilities to anything connected to the AiMesh node since...

Some context for/on these new 3006.102.2 Alpha1 builds RMerlin announced yesterday afternoon in another discussion topic.

YazFi Guest Network not showing connected clients

For question 1, that appears normal (at least on my end when using YazFi). Look at either the YazFi GUI Page or the System Log > Wireless Log page to see the connected YazFi clients. Or use the YazFi CLI (option #2 in the CLI) to list the connected YazFi clients. For question 2, probably best...

    YazFi YazFi on Subnet Router

When using YazFi, on the Guest Network page, Access Intranet is enabled by default. Do not change that setting. YazFi enables that option and handles the option to access the Intranet itself on the YazFi page (One way to guest, Two way to guest YazFi options). Note: YazFi will block access to...

    YazFi YazFi on Subnet Router

Quick and dirty example with working YazFi Guest Network internet access on secondary router. Main router: RT-AX86U Pro running Asus-Merlin 3004.388.8_2. Secondary router: RT-AC68U running Asus-Merlin 386.14, with YazFi 4.4.5 (develop version) installed. The secondary RT-AC68U WAN port is...

    YazFi YazFi on Subnet Router

Which Guest Network are you using? #1 or #2 or #3? If using #1, try using #2 or #3 since Asus treats Guest Network #1 differently (apparently for AiMesh). Also avoid using IP address subnets 192.168.101.x and 192.168.102.x as those are also AiMesh related apparently.

No file transfer to USB drive

Have you checked the system log on the router to see if it indicates a specific error or issue related to the USB hard drive? Have you tried rebooting the router? Have you tried ejecting the USB hard drive, rebooting the router, then reconnecting the USB hard drive after the router has finished...

    YazFi YazFi on Subnet Router

Just to confirm. You have the main GT-AXE16000's 2.5G port configured for LAN and connected to the secondary GT-AXE16000's 2.5G port that is configured for WAN? Having LAN Port to LAN Port Ethernet connection between the two routers might be an issue due to how YazFi and it's settings work. As...

    YazFi YazFi on Subnet Router

What is the "subnet router" model and firmware version? Is the "subnet router" setup as an AiMesh node or as a stand alone router? How are the two router's connected by wired Ethernet? Have you connected the main router's LAN port to the "subnet router's" WAN port or to it's LAN port? How is...
