A bug in parent control 》time schedule

You have to disable CTF/Hardware Acceleration so that ALL network traffic goes through the CPU in order for it to catch it.

Asus adaptive qos vs Qualcomm’s Streamboost

Probably not. Look in the Merlin firmware section and you'll see folks trying to make ASUS QOS work better.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 Beta is available

I think the first post needs editing again. It shows beta 2 changes twice with the same date?

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Yes, but I didnt select the create new jffs on restart button either. Wonder if that messed it up.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I tried it and it didnt seem to be working. Lots of data going through the "default" queue. Log showed firewall rules being applied though. Have to try installing it again maybe. Using AC88U with 382 beta1

Will this script still work with Merlin's new 382.** firmwares?

    [Alpha] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 Alpha

Curious as to what is improved with the new TrendMicro stuff in the 382 builds? Can someone elaborate ?

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

The QOS engine/signatures should be able to tell the difference between content downloads from Steam or game play packets. All content downloads come from *.steamcontent.com on port 80, right? That should be easy to add to the rules. It's what I did with my Untangle box because the ASUS router...

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

So what happens when a blacklisted site is blocked? Is there a warning page or just an error?

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Being able to modify QOS rules would be very nice. As it is, downloading a game from Steam at the tune of up to 60GB in size now days, kills everybody else on the router because it gets flagged as Game traffic and comes in full blast. I'm currently trying out Untangle on a seperate box and using...

ASUS seems to closing it's support of open source

The first post from DD-WRT forums shows code output of a kernel panic it seems. And this post from the developer of Untangle.. https://forums.untangle.com/hardware/38010-asus-rt-ac5300-support.html

ASUS seems to closing it's support of open source

I'm not talking about just installing different firmware. It's actual hardware changes that don't allow open source drivers to function. http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=306449 http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=306839...

ASUS seems to closing it's support of open source

So I recently was going to try putting Untangle on my AC88U and started reading they're forums and found out that newer versions of the ASUS routers have different internal hardware specs now that don't allow the open source drivers to work. Same with DD-WRT. And it seems ASUS in not responding...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Beta is now available

I was getting that same error with a new ISP I had signed up with. For some reason they're DHCP server didn't like me rebooting the router to much. After many phone calls and the usual "did you try restarting your router?" questions and "check the wiring" the fix was for my ISP to give me a...

State of the project - 2016 in review

You ever consider doing something with Netgear's pathetic GUI? They do seem to have some good hardware.

Adaptive QOS categorising gaming traffic as "default"

Doesn't work correctly on my AC88U very good either. I think Trend Micro adaptive Qos is not too good.

Adaptive QOS categorising gaming traffic as "default"

I've been noticing the QOS is not classifying traffic properly on my AC88U either. Perhaps Trend Micro isn't doing a very good job at keeping they're adaptive qos engine working like it's supposed to. If you load up the stock firmware, there is a feedback page where you can tell them your issues.

Upcoming ASUS ROG Gaming Router: GT-AC5300

That new web interface they have with the GT-AC5300 looks pretty damn cool. I like all the graphs, charts and numbers.

TrendMicro - updates in firmware builds?

TrendMicro downloads "signatures" automatically. You can see which version you have on the Administrator, firmware update page. Mine is 1.142
