How to get rid of this notification?

I enabled Samba for my external HDD which contains movies and I set it up for access from anyone on the network without a password. Now I have that bell icon shown above constantly flashing and is bugging the living hell out of me. How do I get rid of it? I don't want to set a password for...

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

I am running the BETA 9.0.0.6.102.3506 with 2x GT-AX6000 wired backhaul AiMesh. Everything is perfect and not one disconnection since I set the routers up. 3.0.0.4.388.22068 is a crappy firmware, slow UI and I had 1 disconnection in the short time that I used it which was 2 days. The beta is...

AX86U best practice setting for best wifi performance

Thanks for mentioning this, I have a 1GBPS plan with my ISP here in Dubai but any speedtest I run shows a max speed of 940-941 MBPS max and was thinking of calling them thinking it was a problem but have been procrastinating to do so.

    Router upgrade

The CPUs are the same on both routers. The GT-AX6000 has two 2.5gbps ports instead of one if that matters and support should be the same. You can't go wrong with either one of them.

Internet access inconsistency and a repeatable crash with GT-AX6000 and GT-AX11000 vs my RT-AC class routers

the next time you get a router, please at least test it the way it came first without touching any firmware then once you're satisfied with it. Upgrade to the latest firmware after reading the feedback threads here or the latest Merlin. It just seems very strange that you have 2 high end routers...

Internet access inconsistency and a repeatable crash with GT-AX6000 and GT-AX11000 vs my RT-AC class routers

Why are you upgrading the routers to Merlin Firmware right away before even testing them how they work out of the box with the factory firmware? This cannot be a coincidence that 2 new high-end routers have the same issue.

RT-AX86U PRO page now up ...

That post was a while back. I got 2x GT-AX6000s and put then in AiMesh. Very pleased with the setup, wireless range, and speed.

    AiMesh & Asuswrt-Merlin

and surprisingly, this BETA 9.0.0.6.102.3506 is super stable (for me), hadn't had a single issue with it and I've been using it since it release. The last official one 3.0.0.4.388.22068 was not so great. I had one random disconnection with that and the GUI is slower as reported by other users.

    AiMesh & Asuswrt-Merlin

I cannot test any Merlin firmware. My last experience with it with the RT-AX88U left a very sour taste in my mouth. With my RT-AX88U, I was using the 384.XX firmware for a while and the router was great. then as ASUS started offering the 386.XX firmware I flashed it to the Merlin firmware but...

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

This router is a beast! For reference, when connected via LAN, I get 931 MBPS down / 331 MBPS up, and here is the Wireless SpeedTest results. My laptop has an Intel AX210 running the latest official driver v22.190.0.4 . The router is using BETA Firmware v9.0.0.6.102.3506 . Everything is at...

    Beta RT-AX86U_Pro Beta firmware 9.0.0.6.102_3506

    Wifi gtax6000

    1) I did not restore any backup or config from any previous router. 2) Everything is at default except I enabled the 160hz band in the Wireless Settings / Professional. 3) I am using Smart Connecting, not dedicated SSIDs for each band. When I first got the router, it was on firmware...

    Wifi gtax6000

very strange man. I have 2 of em in AiMesh and even when I had one only, I would get strong signal 1 floor apart and not one disconnection.

    Wifi gtax6000

Got it, then try the older firmware I suggested or the new BETA.

    Wifi gtax6000

I wouldn't do that because you are limited to the performance of your ISP's router which are usually garbage. Try connecting the router directly from the post your ISP provides to your GT-AX6000.

    Wifi gtax6000

On a separate note, that firmware doesn't have good feedback from many members across different models. The previous firmware v3.0.0.4.388.21617 was much better and stable. I am using the latest BETA and have had 0 issues with it as well v9.0.0.6.102.3506. Don't forget to reset your router to...

    RT-AX88U upgrade to ???

I'd get another GT-AX6000. I have 2 of em in wired backhaul AiMesh and this has been the fastest and most stable router that I've ever owned plus the wireless range is awesome and it's cheaper and will definitely hold you off with max performance until the WiFi 7 routers are released and WiFi 7...

    Asus RT-AC88U Keeps Losing Wireless

Had a similar problem with my RT-AX88U. see: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ax88u-painful-first-few-days.82980/post-816600 Try installing an older 384.XX firmware, reset the router to defaults, then try just to see if we can isolate the problem. my RT-AX88U simply did not play nice with any...
