[AC68U] Download master does not download torrents

What format is the disk? If it's NTFS you're just asking for trouble. But if you want to keep it as NTFS, at least make a separate partition formatted as EXT3 (suggestion: your optware partition) and make it large enough to hold as many incomplete torrents as you download once. And have Download...

DNS issue, PPPOE and manual dns

Running happily now with dnsmasq.conf postconfig script and #no-poll commented out, and a custom /tmp/resolv.conf with more than 2 name servers.

DNS issue, PPPOE and manual dns

Connecting to isp with pppoe, all is well if WAN>Internet Connection>"Connect to DNS Server automatically" is ticked to Yes. However with No and 2 manually specified DNS servers, dns resolution works for all my LAN, but the router itself doesn't have name resolution, it tries to use...

    MARK match 0xd001 / !0x0/0xff00

So this is why QoS doesn't work with CTF, as any QOS'd packet has a mark 1-5? This only concerns marks, with TOS (and a matching tc qdisc) it's still possible to have rudimentary QOS while CTF is on? Or does CTF bypass some/all mangle tables so it's not possible to modify TOS? Trying to set up...

    MARK match 0xd001 / !0x0/0xff00

Is it known which tables are bypassed by CTF? Mark 0xd001 is the 'skip CTF' mark?

    MARK match 0xd001 / !0x0/0xff00

In Asus default iptables -t nat and -t mangle are these MARK match 0xd001 entries which never seem to get matched, though? What do they do? And in -t mangle there's also MARK match !0x0/0xff00 which never seems to get triggered either. Observed on a RT-AC66U. Creating my own iptables rules and...

    Create additional 6in4 tunnels manually?

To answer my own question, should it help anyone else, Not totally sure about the routing part but it does work, corrections welcome.

    Create additional 6in4 tunnels manually?

I have a 6in4 tunnel running already (configured at RT-AC66U), but would like to add another tunnel broker, to route into their own /32 only. I still want to use existing tunnel1 for LAN's SLAAC, the new tunnel2 would only be for routing traffic directly into tunnel2 provider's /32 . And how to...

No HW acceleration on RT-AC66U after Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 install

Well this is it, my 6in4 tunnel. But it used to work before with the tunnel, right? Why would they disable it? Makes one think there's been a security implication. Which is the latest fw with hw acceleration with tunnel still enabled? Is it possible to enable it oneself with WL or NVRAM SET...

    Download master supports watch-dir!

Oh I didn't understand that the point would be to use Transmission Remote with Asus' Download Master, then everything is very easy indeed from one's PC. Just documenting this here for anyone as clueless as me: http://code.google.com/p/transmisson-remote-gui/

    Download master supports watch-dir!

Not exposed on Asus' frontend, but disable DM, add these lines to [path]/Download2/config/settings.json "watch-dir": "[path]/Download2/watch", "watch-dir-enabled": true and re-enable DM. Any torrents you drop to watchdir will be automatically started :D

[AC66] Setting channels manually from shell?

This far country code X2 seems most promising with channels 1-13 and seemingly all channels between 36-165. Adjusting RSSI to -88 db there's still 6/6 Mbps connection in most difficult remote corner (signal below -80db!) with 5 GHz permitting me to escape using horribly congested 2 GHz bands...

    Power at 1496 mW on powerup/reboot? [AC66U ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4]

Thank you, was worried about my brain frying sitting near the router :D

[AC66] Setting channels manually from shell?

Seems someone had tried to do the same 2 country setup and failed. I was thinking more in terms of "wl" commands, how to set/choose channels directly. Or some solution to get ALL possible channels into use (1-14, 36-165). Interestingly "wl channel" reports: channel Set the channel...

    Power at 1496 mW on powerup/reboot? [AC66U ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4]

Router rebooted after changing some settings, back at 1496. Always.

    Power at 1496 mW on powerup/reboot? [AC66U ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4]

Is the output of wl txpwr/1 reliable? Because on a new nvram cleared system right after boot it says: ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4 Fri Nov 1 23:26:23 UTC 2013 admin@RT-AC66U:/tmp/home/root# wl txpwr 31.75 dBm = 1496 mw. admin@RT-AC66U:/tmp/home/root# wl txpwr1 TxPower is 127 qdbm...

[AC66] Setting channels manually from shell?

What's the proper way of setting channels (2g and 5g) from shell? And saving the settings? Been experimenting but not finding the correct way of doing it. What i'd like to do is to set country JP for 2g (to use ch 14) but BR for 5G (proper bands for my location). Or some other custom setup.
