Thanks for circling back with feedback. Good to hear when things work like they’re supposed to.

Spectrum EU2251 Modem and voice effected by MoCA?

This was answered in post #3. The phone service is delivered via the cited modem, so it’s just a question of MoCA compatibility with the modem. And I’m fairly certain that the modem cited will be destabilized by the presence of MoCA signals; so, the modem needs a “prophylactic” MoCA filter to...

Spectrum EU2251 Modem and voice effected by MoCA?

Not the case. As stated many posts back (post #3 in the thread), and as many others have had to do with the same modem handed out by Spectrum, just install a MoCA filter (ideally a 70 dB model) directly on the modem, as a prophylactic. And as the linked “encroachment” comment in the earlier...

Spectrum EU2251 Modem and voice effected by MoCA?

Once MoCA is working, wouldn’t it just be configured as an AP? (Or is there some other terminology within the AIMesh lexicon for that configuration, assuming “mesh” means “AIMesh.”)

Spectrum EU2251 Modem and voice effected by MoCA?

TL;DR: yes-ish. As a workaround, install a 70 dB MoCA filter directly on the modem. Longer… See: DOCSIS encroachment on the MoCA [Band D] frequency range ---

Are newer power line adapters worth trying?

What’s the coax situation in her house, and that room (or adjoining rooms), specifically? MoCA would be a superior option to Powerline, if direct Ethernet isn’t available but coax is.

    Frontier internet and Moca

p.s. Added a post-edit comment ... that you should be able to get your MoCA LAN setup working w/ just the current 4-way (or probably even with the 2 splitters connected as pictured), though at lower efficiency (requiring more power to boost MoCA signals) and possibly with degraded throughput...

    Frontier internet and Moca

Looks like you have a few network-capable Cat5+ lines in that cabinet, as well, though currently connected for landline use (likely incoming telephone service line + 2 outlets). Something to keep in mind depending on where the phone jacks are located (where the Cat5+ lines run), and where you...

    Frontier internet and Moca

That's the basics of it... ... though I recommend right-sizing the MoCA-compatible splitter -- sized to only connect the required lines -- as well as, as diagrammed, adding a MoCA filter to the splitter's input port to improve the MoCA LAN network efficiency. (The MoCA WAN network, operating...

3 story house approx 5K sq ft with limited ethernet wiring

Sharing coax between cable TV and MoCA isn’t an issue, with cable TV signals all below 1002 MHz, leaving the full MoCA Extended Band D range (1125-1675 MHz) available for a full throughput MoCA 2.5 network. That said, it’s recommended to isolate the ISP/modem feed from the MoCA-infused coax, if...

3 story house approx 5K sq ft with limited ethernet wiring

FWIW, if the lack of support and other limitations aren’t a problem, Frontier FCA252 MoCA 2.5 adapters (with 2.5 GbE network port) can be had for about $30 per on eBay.

    Frontier internet and Moca

Quick guess … this would indicate that there is a direct coax connection between the ONT and router location, but that the rest of your coax locations are interconnected via a splitter isolated from the ONT/router connection. (Or possibly a misplaced MoCA filter.) The ONT coax needs to feed the...

    MOCA issues with Xfinity

Additionally, have you tried a full power reset? Now that the amp is again functioning, you could power off the gateway and both MoCA adapters, wait a couple minutes, then power them back up in order, starting with the gateway, waiting for the gateway to fully come online before powering-up...

    MOCA issues with Xfinity

Maybe, maybe not. A malfunctioning adapter could hobble the whole network. That said, you could try each adapter with the other powered-off; each adapter should be able to link with the MoCA-enabled gateway. A couple other simple tests you could try… direct-connect the Actiontec ECB2500C...

Help with MoCA Adapter Losing Internet Connection on Frontier FIOS

Thanks for the followup. (Hope that didn’t jinx it. ;)) p.s. FCA252[“25GW”] … just to be clear, to distinguish from their “1GW” setting.

What moca adapters can be manually configured for frontier LAN settings (1025-1350/mhz) ?

Installing FCA252 adapters for WAN connections is literally what they do, kinda evident in the branding on the adapters. Either poor training on the part of Frontier or poor performance by the tech. Speaking of which … whatever happened with the setup?

Help with MoCA Adapter Losing Internet Connection on Frontier FIOS

If the FCA252[25GW] pair doesn’t work, I’d be interested in hearing more about exactly how the coax locations interconnect. (I probably should review the thread to see if it’s already been communicated.) edit: Yeah, it was there, in the diagram. MoCA-compatible splitters at each location.
