    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

3626 has not been pulled. Not sure where you got that from. It's available for download here: http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC68P/HelpDesk_Download/

    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

I concur with Merlin. 3626 seems stable and it's running great on my 68P router.

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

Version 1.0.2.5 Also not really comfortable with Asus "silently" injecting CFE updates with firmware releases nowadays.

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

Thanks Merlin. So Asus has confirmed that 68U firmwares works on the 68P - even though hardware versions are different between the two models?

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

Still no update for the 68P. What is it with Asus releasing NEW high-end routers and not releasing any FW to fix the countless bugs/glitches that come with the existing FW?

    TP-Link Archer C9 or Asus RT-AC68P

TP-Link is releasing a new AC1900 router (Archer C9) any day now. http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?model=Archer+C9 I've never owned a TP-Link wireless router but the AC1750 Archer C8 has pretty good reviews from around the net. How are they firmware-wise? I'm interested to know how it...

    Having issues with RT-AC87R again??

I thought you had the 68P. Did you take it back and get the 87R instead?

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

His statement is definitely TRUE and no retraction is needed. Also who cares if Asus staff reads these boards? They have dropped the ball recently when it comes to FW and addressing all these bugs that are being reported. Someone at Asus is asleep at the switch. We are paying top dollar for...

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

I believe the 68P comes with the newer hardware. This is the first firmware release from Asus for the 68P. There are no other versions on their site. 2104 was never made available. It's just odd they would release what seems to be an older version as a "firmware update" when they shipped out...

Asus releases FW update for RT-AC68P that is older than current FW

Asus just released a new firmware for the RT-AC68P router (3.0.0.4.376.1663). However the router came with firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.2104 already installed on it upon purchase. Can someone explain to me why Asus released an "older" fw version as un "update" to the existing newer fw...

    RT-AC87U - Frustrations...

Save yourself the aggravation and do yourself a favor a get rid of the 87U/R. I had that router myself and I learned the hard way before I finally had enough and returned it for a refund. I picked up the new 68P and performance and stability has been night and day compared to the 87R...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

By all accounts, 374 firmwares have better range and performance then the newer 376 firmwares released by Asus? Is it recommended I flash w/ 374 or update to the latest 376?

    RT-AC68P QOS questions.

Merlin, can we "downgrade" from the current 376 firmware on the 68P to 374? Any harm doing this? And if not, is it just a normal flash and factory reset?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I just purchased the RT-AC68P and was wondering if this Fork version will work with this model? Router came with factory firmware 3.0.0.4.376_2104. Is there any harm downgrading from 376 to 374 and is there a special process of doing this or just flashing the firmware and factory resetting...

RT-AC87R (current router) or R8000 or Something Else?

Sorry I've never used qos on any of my routers. But I'd definitely hold out for an official Asus fw build (then Merlin will release his version shortly thereafter I assume). Better to be safe than sorry IMO. Even the Asus support/download site shows nothing for the 68P. I'm sure in a week or...

RT-AC87R (current router) or R8000 or Something Else?

Just took back the 87R and got the 68P instead, per Turbo Brian's recommendation. I hate the way the 68P looks but performance and reliability is what really counts and both those areas the 87R failed miserably. Good riddance.

RT-AC87R (current router) or R8000 or Something Else?

I'm on my second RT-AC87R. I returned the 1st thinking it might be hardware related/bad router. Apparently it's ALL software related (no surprise). I've never been a huge Netgear supporter. The R7000 was cheaply-made and was crippled with it's own software issues as well. Makes me hesitant to...

My Experiance with the RT-AC87U And No It's not Good

Sure IF you consider rebooting this POS router multiple times per day to keep it performing with "no problems" then I agree with you.

RT-AC87R (current router) or R8000 or Something Else?

My patience is about all but done with Asus and the RT-AC87U/R. I purchased it upon release from Best Buy and Wireless (BOTH 2.4 and 5) has been really disappointing. I have to manually hard reset/power cycle the router daily because of wireless lock-ups.This is unacceptable considering that I...

    Asus RT-AC87R/U - FACTORY F/W Bug Thread

Went back to .2678 as the latest fw completely ruined 5GHz wifi performance. It's been a month and still no new fw from Asus. What happened to their once excellent product support?
