    That’s how Unbound works as YOU become the DNS Resolver. So your WAN becomes the DNS server/IP.

    Likewise. Changing my DNS in AGH to Quad9 for example and all tests pass. Back to Unbound yields the same results as above.

    I'd rather have stuff cached in AGH in the first instance, although once it's cached in Unbound I suppose there's a couple less hops for it to do going out to the Root DNS servers and back again.. so no real biggie I guess?

    Surely using AGH cache alongside Unbound cache would be quicker and reduce the number of hops required over time? E.g a request that isn’t cached in AGH or Unbound would go: Client>AGH>Check Blocklist>Check Cache>Unbound>Check Cache>Root Servers>Unbound>AGH>Device A cached request in Unbound...

    You need to add the device/s into the Client List in AGH and then you can choose which setting/s to apply/not apply per device.

    And you set the interface to the VPN Client and not WAN? What is still showing as your ISP? Your DNS or your WAN IP after connecting to the VPN?

    You need to add your VPN Server subnet (e.g 192.168.1.1/24) to VPN Director and set it to the NordVPN VPN client number as the interface you want it to go over.
