which DNS server is being used

If you look on the network map page it makes this a little clearer.

    Ax-6000 and IPv6

I think the Asus FAQ just may be badly written! I am as @Ripshod mentions using PPPoE in the WAN setup, I can't see any means of setting up the GT-AX6000 in a single stack IPv6 mode, it has to be IPv4 and IPv6 (with some fudging by BT - that's a whole post in itself) dual stack+. The basic IPv6...

    Ax-6000 and IPv6

Im in the UK using a GT-AX6000 on BT 900/100. I've IPv6 enabled on "native" and it works fine for me. I have DDNS enabled via DynV6 with direct access (when I choose to enable it - which is very rare) to an internal server. Often the issues with IPv6 seem to come down to the ISP...

This is a five-year-old thread and the RT-AC86U mentioned will probably have died by now!

    ASUS App Android? Secure???

I agree with everything that has been said here. Additionally, if you are using the incredible @RMerlin 's firmware, just don't use the app - ever!

    AC86U keeps losing USB drives

I don't know that it would be too much power. Below is the power by Integral 128Gb SSD draws. I doubt that even a modern powerful SSD would be drawing the almost 10x current that would be too much for most routers!

GUI not showing 5GHz or 6GHz traffic

Gotta play Captain Obvious here... These are the fronthaul figures you are looking at after electing the individual nodes? Because if you are looking at the backhaul, then it'll be 0 because it'll be using the wired link back to the switch!

    Unifi 6 Wireless performance issues

Why have you set up the APs as with 80MHz bandwidth? At 80 MHz you'd probably be wanting to use channels 32 (+36 + 40 +44 that covers 80 Mhz, channel 100 (+104 +108 +112) and if then for the third use 149, 116, or 52 (in that order of preference). If you can you'd benefit from using 160MHz...

Ssh to router logging in as wrong user?

While the router is running Linux, it's a very custom and cut-down version. As for the "entware" directory you'll find it in tmp/mnt/yourUSBdevice I'd probably also suggest using a tool such as Midnight Commander> opkg install mc will make exploring the file system so much easier!

    Unifi 6 Wireless performance issues

You have to think like a copy writer! So up to 200 devices means, maybe with the wind in the right direction and 199 of the 200 in sleep mode.

    deSEC DDNS update script

Will have a look at this tonight! It did make me notice that my WAN IP addresses (4 & 6) changed at 2am last night, no reboot - thanks BT! It's certainly neater than my script for DynV6, and I do worry that DynV6 seem to provide the service in return for absolutely nothing. Always makes me...

    Advice Needed

The weird IPv6 configuration thing is very much a UK thing - though mine seems to work just fine. BT's use of massive parts of the reserved IPv4 estate is annoying and head-scratching. Even my Netatmo heating controllers connect to a server in the 10.x.x.x range! *At least BT no longer seem to...

FlexQoS FlexQoS - Setting up a Multicast IPTV box

You are going to get no benefit from using QoS when your connection is 900/100 - FlexQoS won't be able to keep up with it! Now normally your DNS is going to have no effect on throughput, but in this case it just might! If you are with BT or EE (not just supplied by OpenReach), then the media...

    Asus Rog GT-AX6000 Decision / RT-AX88U Pro

Has anyone ever actually needed 4x4 on the 2.4GHz channel? Sure, I have the GT-AX6000, so it's there, but would I really miss it if it were gone?

    AX86U & AX88U Pro, same power supply?

We had the GT-AX6000, a HP laptop, and an Asus laptop that all use what appears to be the same power supply. Economies of scale - it kinda makes sense when you think about it!

RT-AX82U Will not mount new 128GB SD card

RT-AX88U VPN Server "Others" Page Bug

    switch or not

What is most convenient, has them work best without being an eyesore or attracting cable-chewing pets. My switch is about 0.5m away from the ONT, the router is about 4m away from the ONT. Having the switch means I only have to hide the cables from the ONT to the router and back, and not the...

Access device connected to Asus router remotely?

This will do both, and you get to use the 192.168.50.x (or similar) address that you use locally. It has limitations, but for simple access it's fine! It'such a simple set up you should just try it. The biggest limitation is that you will need to be accessing through a mobile device there are...
