    no special characters Just alpha digits. Not sure about ssh reboot didn’t help. Even done a factory reset and loaded an old configuration file and that is the same. haven’t tried leaving disconnected for 5 minutes. Will try tomorrow. thanks for your reply.

    Some reason the new password won't let me in. Think I have Sussed the problem. My on board (asus formula viii mother board so not cheap) LAN is stuck on 100mbps. Every time I try to turn on Gigabit it won't see router. Tried updating driver.
