UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Sorry. I'm Chinese, but can't speak nor read. I'm what my dad calls an American Born Chinese (ABC). No worries about the link. I can ask a Chinese friend or relative... I didn't return the UPS from Sam's Club and it's less than 3 ft from an RT-AX5400, which is about 3 ft from the foot of my...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Is Taobao like Temu? I had a good experience/purchase of an outside micrometer set from Temu...

    iPhone 16 pro picks 5ghz instead of 6 (GTBE98 pro / BE96U mesh)

If AiMesh is ON then likely the system is reserving the 6 GHz on the BE96U for backhaul. AiMesh has self healing so even if you unplug an Ethernet Backhaul it jumps to WiFi backhaul instantly. It can't do this without reserving the bandwidth. You can try Ethernet Backhaul Mode (web...

    DNS Issue?? AX5800 Pro Issue??

What's S&G and DOT? If the Play Store found updates available, why do you need a DNS to download them? DNS translates www.google.com to an IP address of google.com. Confused...

    MLO performance and Limitations

Maybe I wasn't clear, you can choose a collection of 3 channels: 5 GHz, 6 GHz-1, and 6 GHz-2 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz Isn't the first option what you wanted? Or just two?

    MLO performance and Limitations

At least on the BQ16 Pro you can choose between 5 GHz, 6 GHz-1, and 6 GHz-2; or 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz, (undefined which of the 2 6 GHz channels). On the GTBE98 Pro I believe it is all four combined/SmartConnected together.

    GT-BE98 Pro & 3 BE30000 - AiMesh Wireless Backhaul Dropping Packets Every 15 Minutes

BTW- You don't happen to have a clock or something similar that happens to chime, etc every quarter hour? (These things seem sensitive to noise of the electric nature)...

Still struggling with Asus ZenWifi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro Bundle

I noticed my 2.4 GHz has Roaming Assistant enabled, same -70 dBm. Mine setup is wired backhaul, but for your reference in case you would like to try...

Still struggling with Asus ZenWifi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro Bundle

I'm not sure if turning on MLO is worth it, to be honest. WiFi 7 yes, because it enables 320 MHz bandwidth. (I've seen my OnePlus Open WiFi 7 phone connect to my BQ16 Pro, in AP mode with AiMesh, reporting a PHY rate of 51xx Mbps. This was with the phone literally a couple of inches away from...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I have a single BQ16 Pro. Ended up with 3 separate SSIDs, (no IoT network, gave up on that). They are all the same SSID and password: 2.5 and 5 GHz SmartConnected WPA2/WPA3, 6 GHz-1 WPA3 (WiFi 7 toggled OFF), and 6 GHz-2 WPA3 (WiFi 7 toggled ON). So far so good.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

I was looking for possible EMI/RFI suppressors and found this Tripp Lite unit on Amazon. It's a little pricey but since the Lithium UPS was on the cheaper side I am thinking of plugging this into the UPS, then connecting the router to it, and see if the performance returns to normal...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

It came brand new with the BQ16 Pro (1-pack). I was looking at a whole slew of them that are available on Amazon. (I did ask a few posts up if you thought they might be worth a shot). I may try to order one, thank you.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

I have a Saturday morning class from 8 - 12 but tried to tinker with it a little before and after. Part of it was operator error regarding the UPS. I don't think I properly turned it on and my cell phone may have been connected to/seeing (on Net Analyzer for Android) the DECO BE95 or ACER W6...

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 possible with ASUS DSL-AX82U (modem only)?

But yes there appears to be Merlin firmware just I don't have experience with them: https://github.com/gnuton/asuswrt-merlin.ng

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 possible with ASUS DSL-AX82U (modem only)?

ASUS needs to be set to router mode with PPPoE. (How did you have it set)? The login is through the GT-BE98. The DSL-AX82U just translates to/from line data to Ethernet.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Hmmm. I have the wall adapter connected to a polarized extension cord. When I connect it to the new UPS (supposed to be pure sine wave) I get terrible speed. When I connect it directly to the wall outlet it works great. Sadly, something is wrong that just doesn't quite fit....

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Unless it is 3 pin: GT-BE98 Pro; GT-AXE16000; RT-AX86U, the rest I believe are 2 pin and equal size blades: BQ16 Pro; (RT-AX5400 I reused RT-AC68U adapter). They all have some model of battery backup. The RPs get plugged into the wall but they also are non-polar.

Must have gotten a lemon of a RT-BE96U

I bought this with my FireTV purchase last year: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N2ZHFY9?tag=snbforums-20 Works great. It did require careful research and asking a question to verify this is actually higher spec than the Amazon original version...

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Adversely Affects WiFi Performance?

Thank you for the input. The "wall wort" was tried on the same UPS, then speed tested in each case: battery backup plug, surge only plug. This meant rotating the "wort" 180 degrees and plugging it back in. (Without carefully moving the UPS to exactly the same spot, the noise appears to be...
